I usually use E6000 and leave them out for a couple of days as it smells a lot. Of al those pins I made, I have only had to reglue 3 or 4 pins, and that was because I didn't put enough glue on the first time. These pins are worn daily by the students and the adults. I took a course on The Gifted Child, and the professor herself is considered "gifted". Nowadays, each and every one of us can be considered gifted, as we can each achieve success better than someone else we may know. However, try this: in a movie theater, do you sometimes find yourself laughing alone, or a few seconds before anyone else in the theater seems to "get the joke"? If so, you are gifted. It is thus with imagination. When we are ensconced in a creative project, our world becomes that project. I find that since I've begun stamping, almost 4 years ago, everything I see is a potential card idea. And when I say, "that sky is gorgeous, but if I tried to stamp it it wouldn't look real," some people think I've also gone too far...however, I feel sorry for those people around me who can only see a sky, or a balloon or a street, and not imagine the creative possibilities using the myriad of images we have to choose from to make that sky or balloon more exciting, or more unusual or more appealing to the eye. I adore what stamping has done to my perception. On the other hand, a couple of years ago I was lucky enough to visit our museum of Fine Art here in Montreal, where there was the largest collection of Magritte's works in one exhibit, and since then I've found myself creating more surrealistic themes...so I find that not only does my art change the way I look at things, sometimes everyday things influence my art! And for those people who think you're 'strange'? Send 'em my way...I'll vouch for your ever-working, ever-creating mind which is a gift to yourself, but as a swapper in your group, a gift to me as well. First was a postcard done in the most delightful style. Karen used Gold duplex cardstock (gold on one side and white on the other) The white side was the note and address but on the gold, she had stamped and ep'd in Gold on Gold! Her scene was a moon partially hidden by clouds, rolling hills with a few trees and longer grass in front. And it stands out so well! Thanks Karen. >From Joy Morris, a beautiful butterfly card, with four (deNami?) butterflies on the front corners, lightly colored in pastel colors and inside a fabulous butterfly that looks like it has been stamped on plastic in blace, then attached to a tissue backing of multi colors then with a solid body of???? A police officer in a small town stopped a motorist who was speeding down main street. "But officer," the man began, "I can explain." "Just be quiet," snapped the officer, "I'm going to let you cool your heels in jail till the chief gets back." "But officer, I just wanted to say..." "And I said keep quiet! You're going to jail!" A few hours later the officer looked in on his prisoner and said, "Lucky for you that the chief's at his daughter's wedding. He'll be in a good mood when he gets back." "Don't count on it," answered the fellow in the cell. "I'm the groom." Laura A. a.k.a. It was an article on colored glass jewelry. Can't find them where I live so would be happy if someone knows of a source or would even offer to purchase some for me and I would reimburse you. I'm not looking for the small penny-sized ones. I can find those. I'm looking for bigger ones about 1.5" - 2". I called an art store and the person there said the proper name for these is blebs.
