I got the easter cake baking. It shoulda been done 20 minutes or so ago, but it wasn't, and.. still isn't, actually. I always make coconut pound cake for easter. This year I didn't, I felt rebellious or somethin', and made chocolate instead. 7 or 8 easters ago I made a *big* mistake (rofl!) and after the kids went to bed (they were 3 and 6.. or 2 and 5.. they still went to bed) I decorated it all fancy, and when they got up they were *amazed* and *knew* the easter bunny had decorated that cake and so now I gotta always make a cake, and after they go to bed the easter bunny has to decorate the thing.. with green coconut and candy and stuff. it was fun when I could do it at 8:30.. it's kind of a chore now I gotta wait til midnight. MOF, I may get up early and do it in the morning.. we got honeybaked ham, and I'ma make tater salad and green bean casserole to go with tomorrow, and I got asparagus for ted.. he likes it a lot and none of the rest of us will eat it so is a treat. I got buttermilk bread rising for the sammiches with the leftovers! I got piglet in a duck suit for my daughter's easter basket, and a beanie baby lamb, and eyeore wearin' rabbit ears and a beanie baby bunny for my son's, and lotsa stickers for his (alla boys in 5th grade have turned into major stickerfiends alla sudden.. is kinda odd.. ) and a teen magazine for hers, and I got a hydrangea for ted, and some fancy coffee, and candy for everybody. I got the eggs boiled just waitin' for someone to decorate 'em, and hopefully someone will fish the easter baskets outta the attic before the night's over.. and the plastic eggs.. cuz I'd lay money that even though one of 'em will be 11 next monday and the other'n will be 14 two weeks from tomorrow, they'll both be expectin' that the easter bunny hid eggs all over the yard when they get up in the mornin' too.. so.. while I'm decoratin' that cake, ted'll be sneakin' round the yard.. I was gonna make hot cross buns, but.. I didn't do that yet, and at this point don't expect I will.. anno This message was from "anno" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. Thanks for hosting Sandy. From Raine---Here's my interpretation of your card! This reminds me of a rainbow trout jumping in a rainbow sea. I love your background and also the fish stamp. Reminds me of the Pacific Northwest. Stamperella---This is kind of a pastel rainbow effect and the rainbow in the sky goes well with the saying inside. Anita--This is definately a bold rainbow, bright and shiny colors. The saying is "It takes both rain and sunshine to make a rainbow" and they are bothe represented on the card with a sun in one corner and her rainbow has clear embossing powder on it to give a rain effect. A rainbow bow embellishment is also added. Sandy--Your card has been described and I can't really do a better job, but I will add that I love the effect of the shimmery "stuff." Also Like your stamp on the back! Rubbearheart---used wallpaper for a great backgroun effect and "popped" out a rainbow in pastel colors with the saying "Rainbow is my favorite color" - -- Well I've learned a lot about rainbows and rainbow colors from this swap.
