A man was blissfully driving along the highway, when he saw the Easter Bunny hopping across the middle of the road. He swerved to avoid hitting the Bunny, but unfortunately the rabbit jumped in front of his car and was hit. The basket of eggs went flying all over the place. Candy, too. The driver, being a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, pulled over to the side of the road, and got out to see what had become of the Bunny carrying the basket. Much to his dismay, the colorful Bunny was dead. The driver felt guilty and began to cry. A woman driving down the same highway saw the man crying on the side of the road and pulled over. She stepped out of her car and asked the man what was wrong. "I feel terrible," he explained, "I accidentally hit the Easter Bunny and killed it. There may not be an Easter because of me. What should I do? " The woman told the man not to worry. She knew exactly what to do. She went to her car trunk, and pulled out a spray can. She walked over to the limp, dead Bunny, and sprayed the entire contents of the can onto the little furry animal. Miraculously the Easter Bunny came to back life, jumped up, picked up the spilled eggs and candy, waved its paw at the two humans and hopped on down the road. 50 yards away the Easter Bunny stopped, turned around, waved and hopped on down the road another 50 yards, turned, waved, hopped another 50 yards and waved again!!!! The man was astonished. He said to the woman, "What in heaven's name is in your spray can? What was it that you sprayed on the Easter Bunny?" The woman turned the can around so that the man could read the label. It said: "Hair spray. Restores life to dead hair. Adds permanent wave." - -- Laura A. - Poste Pone and Sharon D.'s daughter Queen of the Procrastinators Chino Hills, CA To reach any goal requires that we be unyielding about where we intend to go, while at the same time flexible about how to get there. (I was trying to remember what I ordered from Fran!! LOL!) They are fabulous! And Fran's idea of assigning each of the players some specific cards to describe is wonderful! I hope everyone cc's the people on their lists, as well as the mailing lists, since I will be unsubbed until after Cleveland, and I am sure others won't want to miss "their" cards being described!@ Besides the ones we were asked to describe, Fran wanted us to pick out 2-3 favorites, so here are all my descriptions, but in no particular order : Puerto Rico--Yazdel did a very tropical looking montage of images, including hibiscus, exotic lady with a basket of fruit, a postoid and ocean waves--all on a large card with sponged pink, blue and sandy backgrounds! Really got the mood across! Iceland--Lori Olive used the same montage idea to give us a feel for Iceland--lighthouse, breaking waves, puffins by the shore and a puffin postoid, together with a Wish You Were Here greeting, also on a large card with sponged background! Looks like a lovely place! Texas--Stampracer did a navy card with red and white accents--spelling out Texas in red, used an outline state map, which she surrounded with tiny shrink plastic shapes of an oil derrick, a cowboy boot, bluebonnets, pine tree and a beach scene! Can't imagine how long all those took to make times 50!! That's only the front! It opens into a pop out card with Texas flag popping up in front of a big sun and a stippled or sponged cloud background! Then the greeting Howdy Y'All! completes the effect! Yee--Ha! Tennessee--Dotswood made another red/white/blue card--using a red card for the background, layered with a textured white card at an angle, then layered the state flag (?), the word Tennessee, a great Elvis stamp (Who makes it?? I NEED that stamp!) and a real Sun Studio Memphis guitar pick! Wow! California--Penelope Lincoln used a gray card on which she layered a gray/white topographic map that she stamped "I love California. It's the crowds that piss me off!" along with a stand of trees (sequoias, maybe?) 2 Stampscapes hikers, and a California postoid that says The Stamper's State. Ain't it the truth? You guys get all the good stuff first! Colorado--Chris Hulseberg used a navy card and then layered a gorgeous columbine that looks watercolored on it. Inside she tells why she chose that image. Very nice! Arizona--Sue Bentley stamped a Native American pot on copper metal and embellished it with jute and green beads, she cut it out and layered it to black cardstock, which she added "photo corners" she cut out of pale green moon rock paper (I have some of that--never would have thot to use it like that!!), than layered the whole thing on a white card. Inside, she layered Greetings from Arizona and stamped some native-looking images. (I get homesick looking at this one!) Alaska--Linda Edwards made a very elegant card by white embossing a really neat Eskimo image on white parchment, cutting it in a rectangle using decorative scissors, layering it on black c.s., then onto her white card which had been stamped all over in blue with an outline of the state with the name. The Eskimo was from Far North Images--Where I can find out more about these stamps? There you have it--my descriptions! I am sure others will do a better job. All 50 cards/items were lovely and will be shared with my stamping buds! I am glad I was able to get in on this at the last minute. After seeing how so many folks took time to write lovely descriptions/provide interesting facts about their place, I am sorry I did not think about doing that with my card. In one word, WOWZA! Thank you sooo much for the 'extra' goodies, they just kept coming out and coming out. I do have one problem though, what is that foamy paper thingamajig? It's eery feeling! I like it! Thank you very much for the UMs. I must say, out of the different vendors I've ordered UMs from, your's are the best ones that I like. Thank you also for the variety of Brown cs. Just right! I am more than pleased with your business. Just so sorry it took me this long to order from you. I'll be ordering again soon! Thanks again and again and again. ********** I had posted this to Sara privately, then thought again that maybe I should post it to the list. I am very happy with the service I received from her. Oh, and that foamy paper thingamajig, I guess it's bird's nest paper. I'm not getting any kind of reimbursement for this either! :-) Tina aka TeenyStamper This message was from Brett/Tina VerHulst - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. An Easter Card. The card came in a envy of very cute easter design wrapping paper. The card was on lavender cs, layered with pastel pink, green, blue, and yellow stripes (which I think is wrapping paper too). On top of that layer, Paula mounted a very cute easter bunny on what feels like very heavy card stock. The bunny is also fuzzy, (not sure how that was done, but a very nice effect). The bunny is sitting on some green, yellow and purple plastic easter stuffing grass. On the back of the card is a stamp which is a postage stamp design saying "random act of kindess", a stick-lady jumping through the air with "RAK" , "4U". Very cute. Paula, thanks so much for sending me my first RAK. It was a wonderful feeling, looking in the mail box and seeing this. Thank you, thank you thank you!!! Why doesn't someone take one like that to their postoffice and see? Phil Glitterface wrote: > > Okay, guys, here's another one.
