I would look at them and then swap them to all the players. I won't make any cause I don't know how but want to learn. So if anyone is willing to do this swap I'll be glad to hostess it. The theme can be any postoid you want to make. For me the more variety to see the better. You can make 5 for 5 and if you want to make an extra for me, I'll send you a card in return. You will get 5 postoids in return for the 5 you send. They will be due in my hands by June 1st. You would have to send them to me with equal postage and and extra stamp. Since they will all be postoids you will probably get the extra stamp back. Let me know if you want to join, if I get enough players then I'll make this official. I can only tell you that in my almost 14 years of uniformed police service in the deep South (Charleston County, SC - can't get much deeper South than that!), I took every opportunity I had to see who/what/how many were in a vehicle before stopping it. More police officers are killed during 'routine' traffic stops than in any other type of call, except for domestic disturbances. That is a statistic that was drilled into us, not only at the Academy, but almost every day at the start of our shifts. It is so unbelievably scary to walk up to a vehicle, not knowing what awaits you. I have no idea whether the action was racially motivated or not, of course, but there is a good chance that it was not. And you were EXTREMELY smart to keep still and keep your hands where they could be seen. I do the same thing on the rare occasions I'm stopped; it only makes sense to do everything you can to minimize the officer's fears so that the two of you can meet safely, conduct the business of the moment and part company with no harm to either. Phil and Judy - I was and am still very close to be a workaholic. When I first moved away from home 3 years ago I hid myself in my school books and became the classic "nerd." My boss/academic advisor/mentor/dad away from home helped me to relax a little and then I met two great guys this summer that "corrupted" me (as they like to pride themselves). I now have a full and robust social life, but at times (like right now) the screws are getting tightened and I'm needing to put in those 18 hrs/day to get done what needs to be done etc. and in my mind I can rationalize that it isn't good to do and that when I did do it I wasn't healthy (mentally or physically - the stress was eating away at me). But, when I try to get everything done I feel guilty about taking a night off to go have fun. I got a migraine last week and felt guilty about missing some work and was planning on working from home this weekend - I didn't and now I feel guilty about it! I just don't understand how I can rationalize that it is a good thing to go out an evening or two (especially tonight on my birthday) and leave work at work, but when I go out I still feel guilty about not getting the stuff done. I'm working at a very difficult place to have this type of struggle. Deadlines are rarely realistic and are viewed as a "goal" not a "deadline." To me, (thanks to my parents drilling) a deadline is a DEADline - not to be missed or extended under any circumstances! I've been working here about 2.5 years and only one deadline has ever been met on time and that was Nov 1996 for a federal highway administration project. How does one get away from this nagging that you should be working like a madman? Smiles and Hugs! Featuring the "Bambini": whimsical, friendly, busy tots engaged in all the merry activities of Childhood... My name is Pascale Steig.=20 I am a Graphic Designer, but have always enjoyed Illustration. For years, even in Belgium where I grew up, I've been drawing little children, little happy "Bambinis" (babies). I always thought they would be perfect for greeting cards, but was more interested in doodling than aggressively marketing my artwork. Then I was invited to a rubber stamp party!=20 That's when I realized that what I was really interested in was seeing my own drawings made into rubber stamps, so I started my own company...GRAPHIC SAVAGE! The rest is History.=20 Send for our catalogue, you won't regret it!=20 Check out "Sleeping Baby", "Fairy Princess Julia", "Reluctant Helper", "Little Star", ...and all of the other "Bambini"...- AND watch out for the always expanding, GRAPHIC SAVAGE Rubber Stamp Collection! =20 Stamps are Unmounted only.=20 Sorry, no credit cards (yet); checks (with driver's license #) or money orders (Canada and foreign: International Money Order, please). Kristi, Nicely dressed, nice smile and brains, most guys if asked after meeting a lady like this about her size. Will say they didn't notice, and then realize it doesn't matter. One thing to do is to know that you are doing your share, or more, of the work load. Then look around and see how many others are just marking time. If you are doing your share when you are at work than you should go out and have fun. It is a lot easier to work hard at work if you feel good about the rest of your life. I find that it now amazingly easy to work long days, when you know that there is time to play. When I was doing my workacholoic thing, I worked long days and didn't play. I'm currently going to be working many hours for awhile. But it is good, the projects are great, and most of them are for myself or Marlene. The other one, they are paying me so much money for that even if it wasn't fun it would be hard not to do it, I think that with in 6 months we will have the most readable version of the King James Bible every put out. One that, I feel and hopefully Marlene proves, will be easy to read even for people with reading difficultities and senior citizens who are having eye/reading problems. It is a wonderful project, I have worked on it about 1800 hours over the last year and a half and now I hope to see the results.
