Through an incredibly bizarre coincidence, I just discovered that I live less than 40 miles from another list member! All this time! What happened is, I posted a message describing some catalogs I wanted to trade for stampin' stuff, and Lorri of Lorri's Lollys (yup, the chocolate lady!) was the first to respond. So we worked out a trade and I asked her for her address to send the catalogs to. As it turned out, she lives in the same town I work in! Is life amazing sometimes or WHAT? Anyway, we made our great "catalogs for chocolate" trade earlier this evening at my workplace, and I want to tell you all - if you have ANY possible way of getting ahold of some of Lorri's chocolate macadamia "thingies" (hey, Lorri, what are these called, anyway?) - you gotta do it! I'm in chocolate HEAVEN!!! Lorri herself is so fabulous - great sense of humor and cute as a button to boot! She brought me a couple samples of her stamping, which she thought weren't that great (we stampers are so silly and modest, aren't we?) and I liked it so much, I literally forced her to join my blue swap! LOL! (Yes, Lorri, you're still signed up and there's no getting out of it!) She came up with a really tactful way to describe those of us who are, um...less than petite - by using stamp sizes! Like someone Twiggy's size is an "A" stamp and someone Roseanne's size is like one of those big PSX K-size botanicals! I figured out I'm about a "G", and Lorri, though she didn't classify herself, looked about like a "D". LOL!!! Anyway, I'm so glad to have finally met another list member in person and wanted to shamelessly plug her awesome chocolates! She even brought some fudge-dipped chocolate chip cookies to keep the "piranhas" (my coworkers) from eating all the macadamia yummies! PS: Lorri, they weren't fooled. I ended up sharing 'em - mostly against my will - and everyone loved 'em! All right, enough embarrassing Lorri now...back to stamping! PS: Lorri, I promise I won't tell anyone you keep your baby in the trunk of your car in case you need to take him anywhere! LOL!! A couple of weeks ago, I ordered a grab bag from her. She asked about my family, and even included goodies for them. She made my husband tiny envelopes, and put fun surprises in for my grandaughter. I can't even begin to tell you the entire variety of what she sent, but a sampling is: custom picked wallpaper, corrugated papers in approx. 6 colors, marlbled papers, metallic papers, card stock, fancy cut card stock, bows, other embroidered stick-ons, sticker paper, Class A Peels, a multitude of other unique stickers, glossy heart cut out cards, fancy envelopes, tissue paper, a wood mount stamp, stencils, and foam mounted stamps. I thought I knew most of the sticker companies, well, but I had never laid eyes on most that she sent. She has some mammals from the sea, with embossed edges, that will knock your socks off! There was more, folks! Since this lady is fairly quiet on the list, I wanted to let some of you know that she is great to order from! She carries a lot of scrapbooking supplies, along with her stamping business. Her turn around time was great, too, considering she does custom jobs! Thanks again, Marge!
