You've done it again! I want everyone to know that my SSS really spoils me! I'd like to thank you first for the magnificent box you sent! I don't know where you get these fantastic little things you've sent me, but they are such treasures to me and this box is so cool, so awesome! This is the exact kinda thing you treasure forever and then hand it down through the ages and it becomes a heirloom, (is that the right word?). If you had sent just this box with none of the sweet gifts inside I would've been ecstatic! Now I'm brimming over! Let me describe this gorgeous box to everyone, (not that I'll be able to do it justice....), It has a glossy black finish to it, and with golden stars all over the box, and then moons and suns all over it, too. The moons and suns are done in arto deco type style, which is one of my most favorite styles of art, and the sun is turqouoise color-my favorite color, but it also has black/gold/red/navy/maroon colors in it, too. The sun is in gold with orange/pink/blues/blacks in it, and there's a face in each sun and moon. I love it, it's gorgeous and shiney! But that isn't the true magnificence of this box!!! When you take the lid off it there's a very shallow inside to it which makes you wonder what happened to the rest of the box.......until you notice that there seems to be boxes inside of boxes and then to your amazement the box slides open from the sides! It's magic! (I have a strong fantasy life, hmmm? lol) This box opens up into 3 sections, with 3 little holders, and the entire inside of the box has the sun/moon design to it, too! As if this box wasn't enough, my very generous SSS filled them up with goodies! The top box has a gorgeous swatch of a plastic "thing". It looks like a cut from that wallpaper??? or placemats?? that I've heard mentioned on the list, but since I've not seen it, I could be wrong. it's got the knobly texture to it. It looks like my SSS has added some pearl ex or glitter or both or something else to it to enhance the beauty of this. This will make an excellent background addition to any card! Under this is 3 large bottles of glitter, metallic gold, metallic pink and the original prisma glitter! All are gorgeous colors, I especially love the gold and prisma and haven't seen the pink so will have fun exploring this color! Next is a darling pink wooden bunny with white dots and white bow ribbon around it, and a fluffy cottontail. A great Easter decoration for next year. :) And a wrapped up bit of raffia in next to the bunny. Inside all 3 boxes is 2 or 3 "drops" of candy/life savers! yum! yum!! I love butterscotch, one of my favorites! In the next "floor", or middle box is a bunch of rolled up, perfectly cut wallpaper swatches! Gorgeous choice designs, too! Some more wrapped raffia, (see how she spoils me!?), two cut outs for making confetti or cutouts in cards. These are of a snail and a cow, I have several cutouts, but only the corner ones, so these are great. My kids and I will be having such fun with these on craft days this summer. My kids just love these things. A gorgeous wolfe stamp that can be used as a tree! I really love this, I can't wait to start using it, I love stamps that are one thing, but can be used "weirdly" as something else! I've never seen this and it really intrigues me. I think it's' from Illusions. I'm gonna have to definately check out this company. :) In the third "floor" or bottom box is another of the plastic "thing" from the first floor, and this one has differnent enhancement colors to it. I really love it! And a gorgeous Pansy border stamp from Sonlight Impressions, one of my favorite companies! Awesome! I don't have this one but have been eyeing it, thanks so much! I want you to know, dear SSS, that last night I took a class with Kathy Nakata on Pearl Ex, and am now totally psyched about how to use it, and I have designated this box to hold all my pearl ex's! (Well, the first floor anyway....) It's the perfect size for it, too! I really really love this box! You might think that would be plenty to keep me happy! I know I would! But my SSS is so generous, she actually filled up a larger box with other goodies, as well! There's a bottle of Garden Botanika Bubble Bath, Almond Creme scent than you! (oh boy!), a roll of 5 yards of Innova Borders wallpapers in gorgeous black/pink/maroon/turquoise colors! (can't wait to use this with my new turquoise paper I just got!), and a book of Quick and Easy Origami. Let me tell you, this book is gonna go far and very big in this house! My two boys have been struggling with Origami for 2 years now and the books I have are so difficult to figure out that I can't on many of the more difficult designs. I've already looked at the Crane directions and will be able to figure it out! This book as WORDS with it, as well as picture directions, none of my others have the words, and they make all the difference, let me tell you! So this is exciting! Thank you SSS for making another month a wonderful one! I'm a college student and for my Cultural Anthropolgy class I'm doing a study of a cultural group. The group I have chosen are you, the subscribers of the stamper list. I've been observing the list for the past 2 months and I'm interested to know some of the history, the purpose, the rules, and what kind of people subscribe to the stamper list. Any information will be helpful in my study of this diverse group of artsy people. Thank you for your help! I love them all, but sad to say, Most I'll never get to see. The only claim I have is that When I feel sad, alone or blue, I get on line, Play wavs and chat. And maybe find someone who feels it too. They give love And support, Opinions and such, Which I can take or ponder much, But...sometimes I round a bend And Lo!! I'll make a brand new friend. Feel bad, or sad? Just plain sick? Got an attitude or habit You want to kick? "Its ok," your friends will say, "We've all been there before, A time or two, just like you." We know the ups, the downs, The highs, the lows, The "I-could-kill-that-so-n-so's." The pain and strain, Of getting through The leave-takings without adieu. We've seen it all, the been-theres done-thats, We've worn all the different hats, That makes us each uniquely "us," And when we want to make a fuss, We come online and find The equalizers, The friends, who become our sympathizers, Who know, And feel, And wish, And pray, When you both know there is nothing more to say-- But an online friend Will say it anyway.
