It's great to finally have some faces to place with the names that I read so often on the list! Tuesday, Peter Pan shared some of his treasures with me and I just had to say THANKS to him. Thanks, Peter Pan, for the great bumper sticker and magnet! You'll all love them - they say "IMA(image of stamp)'r RU?" They also have the Stamper A Day design on them. Be sure to ask him about them!!!! And I'm extremely jealous that they are all going on this fabulous trip on Sunday and have even arranged to go see all the newest in House Mouse designs! Sorry, guys, I can't join you - I got reminded today that I have to make a trip to Logan with my father (another reason for me to be jealous - he's going to Florida!). Frank) Subject: RS: Rainbows - Guess what I got to see tonight? I took my secretary to a bbq tonight and very near by we saw a rainbow. Not one, but a double rainbow. And then as we looked closer, we were actually able to see the end of the rainbow in front of a grouping of trees nearby. What a wonderful sight! It takes so little to excite me!! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Hey, wanna stamp? I make and sell calendars with the top half blank for stamping, photos, scrapbooking etc. The bottom part which contains the calendar grid has space for writing in stuff. Last year (1998 calendars) I only had 1/2 page size. For 1999 I plan to have full 8.5 x 11 as well as 5.5 x 8.5. --`--,--{@ Patti in Fort Myers, FL @}--`--,-- Computers are life. I have to put my 2 cents in here, I work in a law firm that deals exclusively in matrimonial law, which means we deal mostly in divorce and child support issues. If this isn't the most INAPPROPRIATE place for a child, I don't know what is. We have clients who bring in their children with them for an appointment that they know is either dealing with the divorce of their parents or fighting over the amount of $ they will be getting from one or the other parent. Being a mother of 3 myself, and having gone through the whole process, I'd love to take this parents aside and say, you stupid jerk, don't involve the kids in this, it isn't their fault !!!! If it's a problem of a new jar needing to be un-pressurized, you can use a bottle opener to pop up the lid a little. All it needs is a tiny bit of air and it'll pop. Then you can lean against a counter, with the jar between it and your body and unscrew the top. I do this myself sometimes; I broke my left wrist twice and it didn't heal right either time so it doesn't turn very easily. If that doesn't work, call a neighbor :). ***Glitterface*** Debbie Miller, Austin TX Mommy to Kate and Maggie, fraternal twins (10-11-93) tomndeb@ccsi.com > > Can anyone out there tell us how to open a jar when person has a > sprained left wrist and the other has a sprained left wrist, three > sprained fingers AND a broken hand? > > We've tried with one of us holding it and the other turning, but it just > doesn't work! > > Yep, not to be outdone by Giggles spraining her wrist yesterday, I > managed to allow someone at work earlier today to smash my right hand in > the car door. I do the same when I dis-mount stamps to put them on HALOS. If I *don't* know the source, as with loose UM's of indeterminate origin or mounted stamps of the same sort, I still make a record impression and note the date obtained and "maker unknown".
