I know the situation well as it happened to some friends of mine. They ended up selling the house and moving, and then the next family who bought it, sold it and moved, and now the family who is in it now, are trying to sell it. The situation is a little different because it is not a house rented by drug dealers, but a house rented by "State Assisted" people. This family has trashed the house, lost the youngest child to SRS and has never taken their trash farther than the backyard. One load was taken away by the landlord after the town told them they would comdem the house if it wasn't cleaned up, it was a load of 2 TONS of trash. There is still a good two tons left in the backyard and the pile grows daily. I know this case well as the landlord is my ex-MIL and the house is the one my ex-husband grew up in. He has been doing the trash removal as best he can and my MIL goes to court this week to attempt to get the family evicted. You may want to print this out and send it to the owner of the house. My MIL has spent more time and money fighting to get a family out of HER house, she has no lease with them, they are about 7 months behind in rent, and if she does succeed in getting them out, she will have to re-do the inside of the house again before she will be able to rent it out. Also let him know that depending on what State you are in , and the laws of that State, if there is drug dealing going on, and the kids get arrested, he can lose the house. Sorry to ramble on but I know where you are coming from and I feel that your only recourse is to keep at the landlord to rent to someone else. This group, otherwise known as Linda (Giggles), Linda (Farrell), Lynda (Barnwell), Lissa (Albert-Tenser), Nisa (Yuthasastrakosol), Wendy (Bean), and Peter Pan (Don Glaser) huddled in Wendy's mom's stamp store, Stamp On It and there they planned their attack on the unsuspecting town of Winooski, VT. First victim was House Mouse where they kept co-owner Barry and then later Ellen, other owner, captive for a long time. "It was my 40th birthday," cried Barry, "These rubberstampers bribed me with peanut butter fudge and cards, just came in, demanded new text stamps to go with the mice, bought out all my rubberstamps in stock, and now look! Look at my shop! I don't know how I'm going to explain all these numbers to inventory control. I don't know who bought what and what was what. All I know is that I took a whole bunch of money from these crazy people! I'm 40, but I feel like 100 after yesterday! I feel like I've been RAK'd!" All this RAKing and pillaging apparently made these rubberstampers hungry because they then invaded Al's, took over the corner booth and scared all the other customers away. Lynda Barnwell was the worst of the bunch, trying to threaten people with toilet paper stuck to her finger. "She had this HUGE piece of toilet paper plastered to her pinky," reported a terrified diner, "She came out of the restroom and there it was. I told my kids to hide under the table. That woman threatened to use it in a swap card. I don't know what that meant, but I was scared." The rowdy bunch then circled back to Stamp On It where they divvied up the loot, and ate Peter Pan's birthday cake, Giggle's fudge, and Lissa's s'mores. "Those rubberstampers are crazy!" reported Wendy Bean's mom, "That Linda Farrell just wouldn't put that VLVS naughty supplement down. She was fixed on that alphabet. Her eyes just got all glassy and stuff. I don't know what embossing powder she's been sniffing!" They were then seen parting company in the Stamp On It parking lot and Winooski breathed a sigh of relief as the last rubberstamper left. What a crazy bunch of people. As some of you know, I had a bunch of list members meet me in Vermont this past Sunday. Don (Peter Pan), Linda (Giggles) and Linda Farrell came from New Hampshire, Lynda Barnwell and Nisa (don't ask me to attempt to spell her last name, or say it) came from Massachusetts, and Lissa came from Montreal. We all met at my moms stamp store and then proceeded to House Mouse !!! We spent two hours oohhing and aahhing over the stamp collection they have there and all the other little mouse things too. The co-owner, Barry Percy, opened the store just for us and even did it on his 40th Birthday !!! When we got there, Barry says, I have a surprise for you guys, Ellen Jarecke is coming to meet you also !!!! Well Ellen showed up and we were out of control !!! We spent lots of money, and time there. Talked with Ellen and Barry for a very long time. Ellen had just come back from The Stamp Lady in Mass and was very in awe of all the things that stampers do with her designs. She was very impressed with what she had seen at The Stamp Lady, and it sounded like she had a very good time. She was very patient with us and listened to all of our suggestions on new stamp designs we would like to see. As we were leaving to go get some lunch, Barry and Ellen both walked outside with us, Barry asked if we had seen his liscense plate. We oohhed and aahhed some more over his Black Porsce with liscense plate that says EEKMOUSE, and the company van's lp that says EEEKK . I missed what happened but all of a sudden, Barry, was on his knees in front of Linda Farrell, hugging her butt. I'll let her tell the rest of that story. !!!!! Off to lunch we went, at Al's French Frys, where we ordered our food and all squeezed into a big booth in the corner of the place. The "T.P. Caper" happened and there are 6 women sitting in a corner booth laughing soooo hard that we are all crying !!!!! Lynda Barnwell has to tell the TP caper story 'cuz I'm still laughing so hard about it I don't think I could do the story justice. After we ate, and laughed, and cried, we went back to my mom's store Stamp On It (a little unsolicited advertising) did some more shopping, and then had a birthday cake for Peter Pan. We also had fudge from Linda, and S'mores from Lissa. This was a great day for all, we had a blast, I have never laughed so hard in my life !!! Ok guys, you all need to tell your version of the story so everyone gets the full effect. I left pieces out on purpose so you all can fill in the blanks !!! I have been unable to pick up all of my mail since Thursday night. I did get some of it, but hundreds of messages were deleted at the network server. Other hundreds were downloaded multiple times - that was fun! If anyone emailed me directly about pending orders or anything else, please resend - I apologize for the difficulty. Two of my favorites are Kai Scissors and Milwaukee Heat Guns. The Kai scissors are manufactured for the purpose of trimming Bonsai trees; however, they are invaluable to rubberstampers for trimming rubber and/or loop tape. This is the only pair of scissors that I have found that will cut through the rubber and tape easily and with a great deal of accuracy. The scissors are $15.00 plus $1.00 shipping. Milwaukee Heat Guns are well known among stampers as the best heat gun available. The first time I used a Milwaukee I was amazed at the difference. The ep melts faster and more evenly than any other heat gun I have tried. My old heat gun just sits collecting dust now because the difference is just that dramatic. The Milwaukees are $24.99 including shipping. You will receive a free Creative Images catalog with the purchase of either the scissors or heat gun. I keep both the Kai scissors and the Milwaukee heat guns in stock and would love to put your name on one or both. I do accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Checks and Money Orders. I liked the housing story. Reminds me of my favorite "trick" when getting an oil change, I take all three of my own and on or two extras and MAN do I get service fast! They are pretty good but I keep looking nervous and saying things like "You are sure being good, just kep it up ! We want a good day right?" They get scared (the service people) and we fly outta there! I hate to hear that my kids are not welcome somewhere or that I should leave them at home with a sitter and "take a break" Of course I need a break, and I will have many years to mull over their baby years when they are bigger and off doing their own thing. I am raising them, and with that job comes the good the bad and the ugly looks from well meaning people. Let me decide where is appropriate. If they misbehave we will leave, if they don't they have had another good lesson in social behavior that will follow them into adulthood.
