A friend of hers passed it on to her. Thought I'd share it Tupperstamper LIFE'S LESSONS I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them. I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back. I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it. I've learned that it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts. I've learned that you can get by on charm for about 15 minutes. After that, you'd better know something. I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do, but to the best you can do. I've learned that it's not what happens to people that's important. It's what they do about it. I've learned that you can do something in an instant that will give you a heartache for life. I've learned that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides. I've learned that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be. I've learned that it's alot easier to react than it is to think. I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them. AMEN! I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you can't. I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel. I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you. I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place. I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences. I've learned that learning to forgive takes practice. I've learned that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it. I've learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score. I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time. I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up. I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel. I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love. I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated. I've learned that you should never tell a child her dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what tragedy it would be if she believed it. I've learned that your family won't always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't biological. I've learned that no matter how good a friend someone is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that. I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself. I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief. I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become. I've learned that sometimes when my friends fight, I'm forced to choose sides even when I don't want to. I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do. I've learned that sometimes you have to put the individual ahead of their actions. I've learned that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change. I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever. I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different. I've learned that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process. I've learned that there are many ways of falling and staying in love. I've learned that no matter the consequences, those who are honest with themselves, get farther in life. I've learned that many things can be powered by the mind, the trick is self-control. I've learned that no matter how many friends you have, if you are their pillar, you will feel lonely and lost at the times you need them most. I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you. I've learned that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help. I've learned that writing, as well as talking, can ease emotional pains. I've learned that the paradigm we live in is not all that is offered to us. I've learned that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being. I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you to soon. I've learned that although the word "love" can have many different meanings, it loses its value when overly used. I've learned that it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings and standing up for what you believe. April showers bring....Mudpuddles!!! Greetings! Just pulled a batch of my family's favorite treat, "Mudpuddles" out of the oven and got to thinking (now that's dangerous!) that with all the great recipes I've collected from this group, it's my turn to give something back. So here it is...and I'll save a couple of warm gooey fresh from the oven mudpuddles for anyone who wants to drop by for coffee and treats! Mudpuddles ingredients: chocolate chip cookie dough (homemade or store bought) miniature peanut butter cups Drop scant spoonful of cookie dough into cups of mini-muffin pan (no muffin cup needed but spritz pan with non-stick spray, oil and flour pan if you know your pan sticks badly). Do not overfill muffin cups. Bake according to recipe for cc cookies (usually 350 for 10 to 12 minutes, sometimes 275 degrees for 15 minutes) As soon as you remove them from the oven, poke unwrapped PB cup into the baked dough. Remove from pan after cooled. Folks, this is as good as it gets if you're a Reese Cup lover! And if you're not, then try the Sam's Choice brand of candies from WalMart. They come in PB, caramel or cool mint versions and make for a very tasty alternative. Some favorite versions at my house are: CC cookie dough (we buy it in the half gallon tub at Sam's Club then keep refreezing it in between) with the caramel cups. Also tasty, try a tsp. of brownie batter instead of cookie dough and substitute the cool mint cups. An adult taste...kind of like a cookie version of "grasshoppers". Another hint...the Sam's Club version come in a little pouch in a brown paper cup but not wrapped in foil...comes in handy when the cookies are cooling and you forgot to take the foil off ahead of time! I unwrap mine and line them up ready to go after I pop the cookies in the oven else I forget and the cookies cool too fast to insert the candy. Contact Cindy Piet to get added to the snail mail list. Then your name and address will be added to the list and you will receive a list of everyone else's name & address to RAK. Contact Cindy_Piet@juno.com. Someone else will be taking over the list soon but for now you can contact Cindy. Susan is also doing a snail mail list and you can contact her at susanb@inav.net 2. UM - unmounted rubber stamps. Stamps without the wood mounting. You put something like Velcro on the back of the ums and use a halo system instead of a wood mount. Visit Sheryl Porters web site to see them http://home.utah-inter.net/sporter/. 3. CCCC - Crazy for Cats Card Club. Kind of like a RAK except all cards must contain at least one stamped cat. When someone sends you a card you must send them a card back. Contact Barbara Simpson Simpson@rpnet.net 4. LOL - Laughing Out Loud 5. ROTFL - Rolling On The Floor Laughing 6. Swaps - Someone hosts a swap of a particular brand of stamps or type of stamps. You send however many cards that are specified that you stamp. Usually an extra one for the hostess. In return you get that many cards that someone else stamped. Right now there is a SS (Secret Stamper) Swap starting. It runs January - June. You receive a SS name & address to send a box of goodies to. You must send one a month from January - June. In return you receive a box from a different SS. In June you reveal who you SS is. If you want more info about this swap contact Frank Corridino frankc@dreamscape.com. If you ever just want to ask a question let me know. I'll be glad to answer if I can. Don't ever be shy to ask the list about anything. They are a great source of information. There is also another list called rubbertown. You don't get as many messages per day on it as on rubberstampers. To subscribe to it e-mail Majordomo@Mailing-List.net put subscribe rubbertown-l (this is an L not a 1) in the message line along with your e-mail addy. She provides excellent service. I ordered an Xyron from her last sale and a Bakers dozen of ep for myself and an ep grabbag for my sister. My sister went crazy over the ep and I have to admit it is so much nicer than anything you can get at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Absolutely beautiful! Anyway back to what I was saying. I asked Jutta to choose colors of ep for me because I have to admit the names don't mean much to me and there were too many to choose from. I gave her a general description of what I like and she did a spectacular job of choosing. I like every single one of them. Thank you Jutta! I've been passing it on and have a mistake in the amount of salt--it comes up as =BD salt, so am assuming it's one of those funny signs some of us can and some of us can't get. Please, respond if you have the correct amount so I can send it on. Also the Bottle one has same thing at size of bottle and in amt. of tempera!! Another question that someone had--what if you don't drink coffee--any suggestions for substitute for coffee grounds? Thanks so much for any help, Eileen I have wept in the night for the shortness of sight that to somebody's need made me blind; But I never have yet felt a tinge of regret for being a little too kind.
