But just from what Linda said, I can tell I don't like it!!! As Lissa said, we like this list because it is free-wheeeling...an opportunity to relax with those of like interests... In fact it made me laugh to think about someone trying to "schedule" this wonderful topsy turvy list we all love (if we would only admit it.) I think those who tried to schedule these things forgot that not all of us have the luxury of being able to be signed on the list all the time. I appreciate vendors and hostesses who post their specials and swaps during the week and again on weekends. All the recent debate about schedules, credibility checks and restricting the subject of list posts reminds me of the course of most male/female relationships. Two people adore each other so much that they decide to live together, get married (whatever). And soon, in the intimacy of a 24 hour relationship, each one begins to notice the other has a few imperfections (gasp). They begin to try to change each other--and because some adoration still lingers at this point, they each DO change a lot. A few months later, they can't understand why they don't adore each other any more...and they say to each other, "you've changed." If we keep changing the RS list, in a short while, even those who wanted it to change won't like it anymore. Already, they've begun to sign off...
