Magenta catalog are in and are totally awesome. There are four pages of their artwork at the front and they are unbelievably beautiful. They have made this catalog in a binder type and fits the 3 ring just perfectly. Diamonds should be in tomorrow. I haven't received payment from everyone and need it as there are so many orders I am not able to pay for everyone's. Let me know if you don't want the one you ordered and I will take it out. Prices will be posted to the list after I get these orders out and can see what the new prices are for the new sizes and the new stamps. There is a section of designs shown that have to do with scrapbooking and there are now stamps that say scrapbook - great big to cover a whole top page - others say photo album, scrapbook, Diary, Travel Journal, Agenda, Memories, Recipes, and lots of others. Lots of pretty frame stamps for the Memory books too. Great BIG stamps now too: One is a Family tree that covers nearly a whole page. Others are scenes and you can even build a clock using their stamps. Lots of saying and many in French. Two of their frame stamps have different tea cups and teapots and teaspoons. One says You're Invited and other says Invitation. (Many of these designs on the frame stamps can be used individually.) On the teacups and teapots frames there are 7 different tea cups and saucers, one spoon and one stamp has one teapot and the other has two teapots. Borders stamps can be used separately too. Great background stamps too. Magenta uses a lot of dark papers and gold background stamps which make wonderful usage of their items. Their artists are absolutely wonderful. You wouldn't guess I am crazy about this co. I think I should just turn my store into a Magenta store - like Disney or some of the others. I have plenty of these for those who didn't order but may want to now. Write me for prices and what else comes in the pack. Thanks. (long) Hi Everyone!!! I've had the best birthday weekend!!!!! A friend from the list, came up for my birthday and to attend two days of classes by Maryse of Magenta. I can't begin to tell you how absolutely wonderful the classes were....I took a total of seven, two hour classes!!!!!!! If Magenta is coming to your local stamp store, I'd highly recommend you attend. I learned so much....Totally awesome... Here is a description of the classes...doesn't begin to do them justice: Saturday, May 2 Book-Card with a Twist Start with a square card, decorate and fold it to create a luxurious triangular note card. Stamping on Cork Cork is a wonderful medium in stamping. This card is simple yet so elegant. Corrugated Bound Booklet From scratch, create an elegant booklet using various background techniques. Flip-Flop Card Start with a square card, stamp, cut, fold, decorate and end up with a totally different card. Decorative Hexagonal Box Decorate a die-cut hexagonal box using an elegant Cat=92s Eye technique. Bookmark Greeting Card Start with a classic 5"x7" card, cut, fold, stick, emboss, color, stamp and viola! A brand new style that is very elegant and versatile. Sunday, May 3 Book-Card with Ribbon Start with a square card, add colors with the Cat=92s Eyes technique and make a beautiful book-card. Elegant Square Card Use the Cat=92s Eye technique to embellish the front of your card. Add a= n insert and a ribbon to create a more professional look. Easy, but impressive. All Inclusive Card-Envelope Create a beautiful card and envelope all in one. Secured with a clasp, it can be mailed or kept as a template for future use. Pyramidal Gift Box Decorate a die-cut pyramidal box using a resist technique. Tri-Fold Fun Card The front and back of our card will be decorated with another version of the resist technique. The inside unfolds for beautiful writing space. Polyshrink Card Polyshrink is a great medium for jewelry but it is also wonderful when used on cards. Learn the basic techniques and make your own polyshrink card using your heat gun for shrinking. Magenta=92s clock kits are the basis to creating a one-of-a-kind clock. Bring special papers, charms, postal stamps or anything special to decorate the clock. It was very stimulating and lots of fun. I got to try stamping on cork and polyshrink for the first time, and it was much easier than I thought. The cats eye techique was, at first, er, um, not to my liking. However, after the second project, I really begin to appreciate it (and began to learn how to "do" it)!!! A few of you have written to me, I am, as you can imagine, behind in my email. I will write...eventually. Thank you for all your good wishes ;D Well, onto the next email....take care, Victoria This message was from "Victoria T. I need to b&m about something, but I am too tired and grouchy to pick a topic where I am likely to be flamed (yeah I know I just doused myself with gasoline). So here are my top 5 things that other drivers do that annoy me to no end: 1. Pull out in front of you making you slam on brakes, when no one is behind you and then turning 1/2 a block later 2. When you are in a line of traffic and can't possibly go anyfaster short of pushing a James Bond switch and flying over the other cars, flashing their lights and honking their horns cause they'd like you to move faster. 3. When you are in a line of traffic in the left lane and the right lane is ending, they race to the very end of the right lane at breakneck speed and force their way into the left lane to get that 5 car lengths ahead 4. The car in front of you is driving very erratically. You pass to discover they are talking on a cellphone, putting on makeup or reading (yess I have seen all three. I once saw a lady coming the other direction who was putting on mascara in an ice storm) 5. They are in the left turn (only) lane and suddenly, despite the 20 cars behind them and the 50 cars in the straight only lane, they have to go straight. Back to getting yourself in trouble with that rowdy crowd you hang out with? What did I miss out on tonight?! I'm sure there was a gathering there again and I couldn't be there. :( Hope you all had a great time and that you are back on your feet again! Very nice, Susan. She also sent a lovely sun face card with 3 sun face images in red and orange and god layered on a green card with stars stamped in gold on it, all mounted on a oatmeal gold card with gold photo corners. Very clever card! Thanks, Susan. I'll have my pin in the mail soon. SSS received - long Yeah!!! I received my SS package today and boy was I happy!!! My SS is so smart... she knows that I HATE little flects of embossing powder so she sent me Suze W's static puff ... I can't write the real name because I tore the package open so quickly to use it that I can't find the top :0) My SS also tried to stump me. I teach English and therefore my brain only seems to think in one way at times. When I opened my package there was a plastic, cylinder type device wrapped in bubble wrap. It has a plastic arm with a movable screw and an exacto knife in the tube..... boy was I stumped... I took it apart, put it back together, made the arm swirl around.... then it came to me. I lifted the piece of tape to reveal a small blade ... ta dah a circle cutter. Thank you so much, I can't cut or draw an accurate circle if my life depends on it. I also received very cool denim tissue paper, looks just like fabric. More tissue paper with tulips. Duck confetti, a celestial post stamp ... very neat!!! A Strathmore book of colored art paper... this has very neat texture!! Finally, the best part of my package...the handmade cards. These cards are so beautiful, mine pale sadly in comparison. First an exquisite purse with a lace glove, it even has a small snap to close the purse. The detailing was unbelievable beautiful. I will definitely cherish this card. Second a very cute birthday card with a child playing the piano (magenta I think). The coloring gray, white confetti, and black really makes the card stand out. Thanks for reading my excessively long post... I am just so excited I needed to share Thanks SS :0) Jennifer Scapellato This message was from "Vittorio Scapellato" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
