If I only sent out perfect cards, they would be few and far between. LOL :-P On a card where everything went wrong, I added a black border to one area to cover a smear, then glued buttons on other blotches. I used stamped sticker paper to cover one of the images that smeared when I stamped it. This was my "Mistake Card" and it got a laugh from the stamp club. They didn't know what a disaster it was until I told them. On another card I covered a blurb with whiteout and colored over it with pencil until it matched the surrounding area. Could I still see the mistake? Sure, but I had put too much work into this card to trash it and start over. How do other stampers deal with the perfectionist/nobody's perfect issue. How have you retrieved or revived stamping disasters? I'd really like to see this discussed. I was just wondering if anyone has mentioned anything about getting a current Stamper's Directory together? For those of you who may not know, the Stamper's Directory was a compilation of information about all the Stampers on the list. Everyone who wants to makes a "page" (including any photos and info about him/herself and his or her life-anything goes) and sends it to the coordinator; then the coordinator makes the appropriate number of copies, gets the pages bound, and sends a booklet to each list member who contibuted a page. I think people usually contribute a few dollars to go toward copy fees, binding, and postage. I started thinking about this as I was making my page for Linda's book, and realized I haven't heard anyone mention it lately. I know that the person who (kind of) did this last year isn't on the list anymore, and I just wanted to see if there is any interest in a 1997 edition? Last year's was so much fun to look through; I felt like I knew everyone a little bit better after seeing all the "about me" pages! What do you all think?
