If you read my posts on this topic carefully, you'll see that we (you and I) are not at all in disagreement. I do *NOT* have unrealistic expectations of when I can get items I've ordered, or how much a vendor will hold my hand. I *will* say that like any customer, I'm *more* excited about lickety-split service and personal attention. I don't demand it, but it leaves a warm feeling in my heart for the vendor I receive it from, unsolicited. It sounds like you are working hard and trying to deal with demands from both sides (the manufactuerers/wholesalers and your customers) and I don't envy you. If I were to order from you, I understand the constraints you work with and would plan accordingly. HOwever, the reality is, if I need something quickly or as cheaply as possible, there might be other vendors I would approach first. As you said, I'm not trying to give offense but being realistic here. I care about a lot of folks on this list, vendors included, and consider some of y'all real true friends. I do try to "spread around" what I buy to some extent, but I don't have that much stamping money and need to make it go as far as I can. Just ike you have your realities of business, I have mine as a consumer. Nevertheless, I certainly think we can get along! I was never intending to criticize any vendor, and I do know that some vendors are placing orders AFTER they get orders and that's fine, especially when everyone ordering knows up front. What I had a problem with was the idea that "imupset" was promoting: that we basically don't have any rights in this to expect to be informed, updated on our orders, and should be happy to wait 4-6 weeks before asking any questions. Hey, that's cool, but as long as there are vendors who DON'T expect me to do that, and who VOLUNTARILY keep everyone einformed, I'd be dumb to go anywhere else. Wouldn't you agree? I was on my way to work this morning and having a particularly hard time getting with the program this morning as was my 8 yr old. He was complaining as soon as we got in the car that he was chilled and he didn't want tme to turn on the air conditiioner so I told him he should get in the back seat then. He had just gotten his seat belt buckled up and we drove 2/10 of a mile up the rode. A car came around an L turn a little close to the center, I moved over a little too far, a cd case flew across the dash and it caught my eye at the same time. My right tires went off the pavement onto gravel and as I tried to get back on the road and steer out of the swerve, we went across the road and into the ditch and ran into a group of small trees which broke the impact as they just bent over. BUT my car is a mess. It's leaking stuff out the bottom and my car door doesn't open. I was able to back the car out and get it back to the house, but my 8 yr old freaked - he was hysterical. It took me at least 5 minutes to get him calmed down. He was fine, just scared. My neck is stiff already. I can already tell this is gonna be a doozy of a migraine coming on. I must say, I've missed you all and can't wait to get to know the newbies. I worked with Jim Stephan at the convention in Appleton this weedend and he has BEEDZ. He gave us all a sample in the class he gave..."How to do Everything" Well worhth the time and the money. Loads of take-homes. Anyway, he demo'd the BEEDZ. They are beautiful. His favorite way of adhereing them is to use Magic Tape or any other heat resistant tape. (no you don't heat it). He also likes Tombow MONOAQUA liquid glue. I found that my 3-D glue from Art Institute Glitter works great, too. I bought 9 colors of BEEDZ from Jim and I love them. They are also gorgeous in in shaker cards. Jim can tell yiu how he made a 2 layer shaker card. BTW, I don't work for Jim (Rubber Art Ink) I just like the guy tremendously and he has great products and great prices. 8-) Try 'em you'll love 'em InkyAngel sending you all hugs and Blessings. I am exhausted. To top it off, I cut the top of two fingers on some glass. Unfortunately, they are the ones I use on my mouse pad not to mention typing. Then the baby took a nose dive out the back door and landed on the pattio with her forehead. She is not a happy camper. I am sorry for complaining. I don't do it much but today I am losing the positive perspective I had. Please pray that I can refocus on this situation properly. Thank-you.
