Well, this was one dang cute joke! Thanx, Michele. I e-mailed a copy to my sister across the country (I'm in Idaho, she's in NY) and printed out a copy for my hubby to read. Got a smile outa him too. And it reminded him of something he heard the other day . . . . . This mother was listening to a song on the radio and she said to her young daughter: "That's Diana Ross -- she was one of the Supremes." Her daughter responded: "Oh? She came before Sandra Day O'Connor?" I'm not up on politics so I didn't get it -- but when hubby explained to me that O'Connor was the first woman appointed as a *Supreme* Court Justice, then I had a good howl. I learned soot printing. I will try to explain. You take a piece of matkote paper or any cardstock thats not glossy and run it inside of a lit candle until you get soot all over your paper then print an image onto it then seal it with spray fixative (outside) and let it dry. It was neat and I got my non-stamping husband interested just add fire and he was hooked!!! - -Debbie C. stampaholic This message was from Ldcoller@aol.com - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. A trouble maker? you tell me? threatening? I think she just reacted to my statement ( and I will stand by it 100%) that many CMC's are arrogant and their attitude got to me for the LAST time. A remark was made that CMC's provide better customer service than retail. That just pushed my buttons and I had to reply. OH..and when she started in on the bit about her being a stay at home mom and this supplements their income I came unglued. Indulge me.....those who know me know I have twin boys now 8, but who were born at 34 weeks with serious kidney problems. They each had 2 surgeries by the time they were 2 1/2 to correct the congenital defects. I stayed home, not because I had to, Ii wanted to.!! And I did for 7 1/2 years, Happily. We took few trips, excect to see family. We had NO help. We were living on one income with all those diapers and formula and Dr. bills and medication a nd...it was endless. I decided to go back o work part time when they started 2nd grade. I still work part time so I can be home from school when they get home. I get to hear the fun stuff they learned ( both are in the GT program, so the premature birth didn't affect them at all , praise God), that day etc. So...for this woman, who knows zilch about me and my family to rail on me about that was, well..too much. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to go about this so much.....I am upset about it and will probably un sub. Who needs it? I'm crying so I'd better go.
