For V-day this year, I only made 5 valentines due to arriving baby time constraints. I made 4 victorian potpourri shaker cards for the moms and grandmas and made a rubbernecker gumball card filled with red hots for the hubby. For the victorian potpourri shaker cards, I stamped the PSX huge Pansy Heart on burgundy cardstock and embossed in gold. I cut out a heart from the middle of it. Then cut out a corresponding heart out of foam core. Put cream colored cardstock on the back. Filled the "heart hole" in the foam core with burgundy and cream colored poptpourri, then in place of acetate or window plastic, I used a cream colored chantilly lace as the covering. Then placed my stamped burgundy cardstock on the top. I layered everything together with miracle tape. I stamped the PSX Happy Valentine's Day on the back in Chianti (burgundy) and on the front I had stamped Azadi's Be My Valentine in Gold embossed. For those who have seen the working gumball machine from Rubbernecker you probably know what I'm talking about. I stamped the phrase "I'm red hot for you" at the top and used a stamp of lips and a stamp of a heart for the background on a 81/2 by 51/2 white glossy construction. The gumball machine was colored with pinks and reds. I like to blow the yolk out of the eggs, but you could use hardboiled eggs too. I stamp the image and emboss it. Then, color the image with your LePlume or Tombow markers. Before the marker dries, emboss the colored areas with clear EP. This will prevent the colors from coming off on your hands. The eggs they you blew the yolk out of can be hung on a wire "tree" as ornaments. If you have a small alphabet set of stamps, you can personalize the eggs. On the ornamental eggs, you can brush on a wash of glue thinned down with water. Then sprinkle on ultra-fine iridescent glitter.
