Deni, The problem, is I don't know the addresses, so will have to find them, unless Karla or Helen can help out. There is one in St. Paul I think it is call AngelArt and is behind a barber shop, small but the lady how owns it is very nice and has nice samples. It is on Snelling north of I94 and south of the State Fair Grounds. Gallary 3 is in the Southtown Mall in Bloomington, take the Penn exit from I494 and the shop is by TJMaxc. This is a mile from my place. A large one by Pioir Lake Casico, never been there and don't know the name Helen Holtan lives close to there. Paper Depot is in the downtown area of Mpls on Border St take highway 55 exit off I94 and it is at the south end of the farmers market, blue building. They have lots of stamps and paper. Anchor Paper Express, south frontage road on Hwy 55 west in Plymouth, exit an cty 6 to the south. They have lots of stamps, papers. There is also one in Osceo-Maple Plains area called StampingMad and they have only stamps, and a few accessories. take 169 north from 694 to 81 and turn west, turn north on center ave and they are up a couple of blocks. There was one in Rosedale area, north of hwy 36, but I don't know it it is still there or not. Their home company is in Big Lake, MN Then there is one by the Sears store in Mall of America on the 3rd floor. I found this one to be small and not very friendly. Then there are a lot that have large stamp sections in the store. If any of these sound good to you I can try and find more information. Hi Cynthia and all participants :) This card is mine :) Thanks for the great description which certainly = made it 'sound" much better than it actually is!! I probably forgot to = add my name on the back of the card so I apologise for that. It's colored in wonderfully...she did a good = job coloring the waves (I find waves difficult to color.) Anyway, then it = has a deckled edge and is mounted on a dark maroon card. A great example of = how to use those large Non Seq stamps. Seashl Stamper's card is exquisite...first is a layer of dark slightly ribbed cardtock. Over this a layer of purple cardstock, then a layer of beautiful marbled paisley paper...purples, blues, gold, then a blue card edged in gold, with Non Seq's Moth and Moon design and then a small gold moon charm added. Wow! Another anonymous card uses this sam estamp in a totally different way...the moth is purplish pink and the moon almost a bright pink. This = is stamped on dark cardstock, layered onto green, then a mauve (which = really brings out the coloring on the moth), then a gold border, and black cardstock on the bottom.=20 Definitely one of the most inspiring swaps I've been in! Hi folks :) I received 2 more lovely cards from this exchange in the past week. All the way from Australia, a beautiful Stampscapes card from Jessica Lingam. A night scene, with full moon shining down on a cluster of palm trees rooted in a bit of land, is mounted on navy, woven textured cardstock. Breathtaking scene! Underneath the main image is the word "peace," hand-printed with a white or silver? pen. Inside, Jessica has hand-printed a verse from John Greenleaf Whittier, titled The Beauty of Peace: Drop thy still dews of quietness, Till all our strivings cease, Take from our souls the strain and stress, And let our ordered lives confess, The beauty of thy peace. Just stunning, Jessica! Now I know I *need* some stampscapes to try some things like this. The card came in a handmade envy--looks like a page from a travel mag. A desert-like scene with blue sky is artfully positioned on the front. >From Brenda Volpe, I received a card with the kind of image I'd buy immediately if I saw it anywhere. Mounted on navy cardstock is a winged woman riding a dark swan over stylized waves. She holds a vessel containing 4 lit candles set against an outline of a sun in the background. All this is embossed in gold on cream paper and cut out in a deckle edge. Streamers of chunky, holographic glitter shoot randomly in the background. Inside, hand-written in gold : "Reach for the stars," surrounded by clusters of the same kind of glitter. A beautiful un-birthday greeting, Brenda! Now where did that image come from? do tell, won't you? Brenda's card came in a handmade envy--a marbley pattern in blues with streaks of gold (wallpaper) that matches the card just perfectly. Hi Beverly :) Been there, done that! There's probably a way for you to retrieve those lost files, albeit it's a tad tedious. Here's how I've done it. Assuming you're using some version of Winders, go into your File Manager or Explorer and find the Juno directory. Under that, find the UserXXXX (prob User0000) subdirectory, and there you should find several Foldxxx.frm files that actually hold your lost folder data. Take each one and rename it with a .txt (or .doc) extension, then open them up in your favorite Wordprocessor. With any luck, you should be able to recover the data that no longer shows up in neat little folders that once appeared when you loaded the Juno program. Hope this helps! Good luck! A 12 pack of lovely linen pastel card blanks with matched envelopes--mauve, blue and pale peach. 6 full sheets of my favorite kinds of all around cardstock--ivory and tan with speckles/confetti. I love neutrals and all of this suits my tastes perfectly! The exotics and linens are papers I would never break down and buy for myself--I'll use the linens for special cards, and probably hang on to the exotics for a long time just to touch and admire them--way too special to use right away, you know :) And more paper! a package of Angel Trim ribbon-type paper that is off white...it has lacy borders and I can think of all kinds of ways to embellish Victorian-style cards and such with this. A roll of Hunter Green corrugated paper from Paperabilities--love this color and it's so hard to find where I'm at in any paper form! 2 mounted stamps--that Judikins "work of art" stamp which I've *almost* bought several times and now I have it! Yay! a really neat Sun design from All Night Media--I have many suns but not this one! Wonderful addition to my collection. Silver EP! My SS has read my wishlist and come through on this one! I have lots of gold, but was short on Silver...this is great! Finally...a card from my SS. It's a scene composed of Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers. On the front a chunky woman in sunglasses is skipping along with her arms raised...a sunny day. Half her body is cut away, allowing the card to open up to a continuation of the scene...It's the drink-sipping woman lounging there in her lawn chaise under palm trees and some gentle clouds. Greeting: "It's not easy being a princess." I sure feel like a princess with all this neat stuff! Just love the card. I'm into scenes these days and this has given me so much inspiration, so many ideas! Thank you, dear SS! This first pkg was pure delight! You're so kind to me :) Best, Janet This message was from jaedee@juno.com (Janet L Delwiche) - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. For those of you, who don't know me....my daughter, Peyton LeeAnn, lost h= er battle with Leukemia, 4=BD years ago. We miss her terribly, but are fore= ver greatful, that we were able to know her, however short that time was. Anyway~One of the most favorite things that Peyton cherished, were BUBBL= ES. She had to have bubbles wherever she went, and of course, I allowed her = to blow them....wherever she wanted!! My favor is this......August 13 is her birthday, and our family has a tradition, that I would like to extend to my "Online Family" . We always blow bubbles on her birthday, no matter where we are. The entire backyar= d gets filled with bubbles and so does our neighborhood!! One year, the Shenendoah Valley in Va. was even covered in bubbles!! Anyway, I would l= ike to ask each of you, to blow bubbles, at some point in the day, on August = 13, in memory of my daughter. It will please me to no end, just knowing tha= t bubbles are covering this country, on her birthday!! Please forward this message to all of your friends, as I would like to include any and all.
