Everyone did a great job.. Julie Phillips-Three birdhouses in a row with flowers and a ladybug crawling up the roof of one, layerd on light blue paper then on dark blue paper..She used a great ribbon with mulit colored metalic edge (and tied a bow and put it in the upper left corner..What stamp is the birdhouse? I have to have it... Marci WIlliams-Used Stampin Up birdhouse in burgandy embossing on Kraft paper then layered it on burgandy paper, took blue/white checked paper and stamped We've Moved by DeNami in red..Love the stampin up stamp. Tina Starling-English cottage birdhouse by Stamps Happen on cream watercolor paper then splattered it with copper acrylic paint. Layered it on to pale blue and gray paper..Very nicely done... Susan Benedict (aka Coffee stamper)-She used a Hero Arts stamp on white cardstock embossed in black used a heart corner punch and dusty rose ribbon across the top of card..Simple but nice..Another stamp I have to get.. Glenyce Mork-Precious Moments and DJ inkers stamp.Very cute PM girl going to the mailbox then a birdie flys out of the open mail door..Bright colors.. Bin Yamamoto-I love this card, she used a stencil in the center of an oval then layered it onto a wallpaper sample then onto light green cardstock..She tied a blue bow onto the top of the oval... Well I hope I did good in describing these cards...They are great.. What more could a stamper ask for.......not to mention the fact that my best bud, Stampin' Sneak RAKed me yesterday with my absolute gift tag (a flowered heart) from Stampendous that she very SNEAKILY bought for me several months ago.......Now you know why she is called STAMPIN' SNEAK.......... One plea before I begin with my Rak info.....Sneak is trying to do her first swap.....a Sweetest Day one and needs just one more player to do it...........I have a great idea for the swap so I hope that someone is just dying to do a card for any sweet person in their lives....or dog...or dentist....or whatever.......PLEASE?????? Email her at ctrusheim@primary.net if you can think of an idea...... Now to my life.... I was RAKed twice today........Ginny Newman sent me the most gorgeous vellum card............using a DeNami scroll frame stamp done in white on pink cardstock (Sneak has it....might have to sneak it away from her), glitter, and markered a tad for color. Ginny, it is just wonderful and now I have seen my first vellum envelope.....WOW!!!!! Then to top it off, Alphabecky sent me the best instructions for her star book......I need good instructions to do this type of project and she came through with step by step ones with the folds actually done for me....Not to mention a beautiful sample. I am thrilled to have something new to work on... Why can't all days be like this? My pin problem was also solved by my adopted mom on the list, Joan Ginsberg, who suggested I use Treasure Crystal Cote to do my pins. It has worked really well.....Pheww.....only 35 more pins to go!!!!! Nitey night, folks..... It takes advantage of people. yeah.. but if I was a store owner and had early closing all weekdays, and consistantly had problems with people coming in just before closing, and having to deal with that, I think I'd stay open later one night a week. If there's that kind of after work traffic needing to be served, it'd probably be in my best interest to be open til 7 or 8 on thursdays or something.. so those people would stop tryin' to slip in at the last minute, and would have time to browse and spend more money! if is just an occasional happening, then course is not worth extending hours for, but if is a constant problem, getting rid of people at closing, then you'd think would be worth it to give them a day they could shop later.. least.. that makes sense to me. but, whatever your opinion (not yours personally, feathers, anybody's!) you won't find no flames from me.. isn't my business, and I'm not a flamin' kinda gal anyway! anno This message was from "anno" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
