I had sent a letter to crayola, and without even thinking I used a stamp that said crayzola on it, and it had the serpentine design on each end...well it did not take them long to answer my letter, but not about what I had written to them about. they accused me #1 of making the stamp, #2 of violating on there copyright design, and #3 they were holding me accountable and liable.......I was shocked...and more than a bit miffed! I had to write to them, as they were having their laywers waiting, and I explained to them, that I had bought the stamp in good faith, and was only using the stamp, I did not design it...blah, blah, blah, well to make a long story short, I mailed them all my paperwork, and never heard from the woman who accused me again...I still think she owes me an apology...this was less than 1 year ago......Tammy - -- Life is like a box of chocolates...There will always be a few nuts. Thanks Terrie for being such a great host. Everyone sent such nice things and it gave me ideas for various techniques and how to use stamps and accessories in different ways. Karen made an adorable diaper card, with baby turquiose stamped teddy bears, rocking horses and alphabet blocks on white cardstock. It was even fastened with a real diaper pin. DL Marler made a cute refrigerator magnet. She attached beige cardstock to a business card magnet, stamped two little girl pals on sticker paper, and colored and cut them out perfectly. Next to the characters to stamped "thinking of you". QVC4me sent a bright orange card with a stamped, colored, finely embossed(?) and perfectly cut out lady gardener. On either side she placed strips of background paper--sunflowers on a plaid background. Inside the card she attached a sunflower seed and stamped the message "from one small seed of kindness...friendship grows--beautiful sentiment. Deb Evans Braun sent an elegant layered card--the colors and shapes of all layers complemented one another. The layers are off-white speckled torn paper layered on black rectangle, which sits on a gold and black patterned paper with a pale green background, and all of this is mounted on black linen cardstock. She stamped a pocket watch, I believe twice, once in black, slightly off center in gold, which adds to a 3-D look. Cherie Moore sent an intricate layered card, with many textures and materials. She stamped a basket filled with strawberries that I think were done with liquid applique and fuzzy leaves--is that flocking? All of this is layered in a floral material that complements the berries, and that is placed on two more layers of materials. Thank you all for sharing your art and wonderful ideas. Try alternating hot & cold packs, 20 min on, 20 off, drink plenty of fluids & take your vitamins, particularly calcium & magnesium, preferably at bedtime. Then slow stretching excercises to restore your mobility. Sigh. It all take time. I feel for ya. On lt. grey cardstock is a envelope made out of wall paper tied with a ribbon. Inside is a blue card with "happy birthday" stamped and chalked. Inside the flap of the main card is stamped a present. Thanks for the idea! Cool! D1derly: on kinda a med. brown, layered with blue cardstock is 3-d'd balloons. also layered is "happy birthday" stamped with musical notes. down in a box on the right is a birthday cake that is 3-d'd also. It looks so nice.A vellum (?) envelope was sent with this one. Christy L: white cardstock with pink rollograph (?) design acroos the card. On the front is a quilt block stamp with hearts and squares. Above that is a pink bow ribbon and above that is "Families are like quilts, lives peiced together. Stitched with smiles &tears, colored with memories, and bound with love". There are some quilt blocks along side of some of the words.Inside stamped in pink is "Happy Birthday" and in the corners are button and heart stamps. Real pretty. Christy L: white cardstock with a cut out window, inside the window in baby green is "happy birthday!" on the front around the cut out is ballons, cake, hearts, a present, party hats, and streamers. Nice stamp. It has embossing powder on it also to glitter it. Cool card. Tami Butler: On cream colored cardstock up in the left corner is a triangle of maroon mulberry paper. There are two roses stamped around "This birthday wish is for joys Of the richest kind, Not wealth or power or great fame, But the joys of contentment Peach of mind, friendship.....The little day-to-day pleasures That make your world a warmer place And fill your life with happiness." Inside is aother stamp of the rose and "happy birthday dear friend!" The colors on the card are beautiful. Thanks for all the great cards.
