These virus warnings are either a game, or one user getting mad at another user for whatever reason and sending out messages telling everyone to block that UIN just out of spite. I have over 200 contacts on my ICQ list and it's kind of a pain when I get the same false virus warning forwarded to me by 35 different people in one day. I have hosted several swaps where participants have sent enough for all, and in fact, have done the same myself as a participant. To me, I found it to be no problem at all. I'll tell you how I did it. Lets call the one who sent 22 cards (21 participants + one for hostess - ok?) #A. All the other21 participants sent 6 for 5. I started the swapping by laying one of each #A's cards into 22 piles. Now I have a pile for each participant and one for the hostess. I sort the other 21 participants packet like this: I put the first card in the hostess's pile, the 2nd into #A's pile, and the other 4 into each of four other piles, starting with pile #B, #C, #D, #E. Next stack 1 to hostess's pile, 1 to #A's pile, 1 each to #F, #G, #H, #J. Next stack 1 to hostess's pile, 1 to #A's pile, 1 each to #K, #L, #M, #N. Next stack 1 to hostess's pile, 1 to #A's pile, 1 each to #O, #P, #Q, #R. Next stack 1 to hostess's pile, 1 to #A's pile, 1 each to #S, #T, #U, #V. At this point the hostess's pile has 5 cards, #A's pile has 5 cards, and the other 21 have 1 card each. Continue in this manner, with each packet. At this point (or at the beginning, no matter), the hostess can then add one of her cards to each stack if that is her choice. When you are finished, the hostess will have 21 cards, #A will have 21 cards (including one of her own) and each other participant will have 5 cards - all different, yet each including one of #A's and one of the hostess's (if applicable). ^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:^~:~^ This is how I did it, and it worked just fine for me. I am not saying, however, that YOU or anyone else has to do it my way. You make your rules and do as you wish. If you chose not to accept 21 cards from a participant that is your right. It's your swap, and you get to make the rules. The participants can agree to your rules, or play in a different swap. I just share this information with everyone in case anyone is thinking they might want to do this in the future. For my part, when I host a swap, participants may do as many (or few depending on the requirements) as they wish. Personally, I like to do enough for everyone so that I can get one of everyone's (hate to miss seeing all of them ya know?), when I have the time to do it. However, I did have an experience with one hostess who was somewhat confused when I sent enough cards for everyone, so in the future, I would not do this without asking permission first. --`--,--{@ Patti in Fort Myers, FL @}--`--,-- ~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~ Computers are life. In the process, I moved lots of paper from one place to another, and it dawned on me that something was missing. I have ONE and only one piece of 3-D vinyl that I have been hording. I have hesitated to cut into it until I got a chance to buy some more. Well, I finally decided that I was ready to bite the bullet and cut it for a card, and darn it, I can't find it. It is NOT among all that moved paper. I never even saw it during that operation. Now where do you suppose it has gotten itself to? Dumb huh? I know it'll turn up after I no longer need it. Such is the way of things around here. --`--,--{@ Patti in Fort Myers, FL @}--`--,-- ~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~ Computers are life. Rubberstamping is art.
