Personal opinion - mine alone. I prefer plain text. I can handle Rich Text, because I can read it, but plain text is easier. Many people can't read it and they have problems with it. Most of the stuff I get does come in plain text, but now and again I get HTML stuff. I'm guessing my reader doesn't handle it - JUNO. OK Feathers, Here is another dental phobic talking to you. When I had to get my partial plates, the dentist had to pull all teeth but 9. I think I somewhat qualify as an expert on pulled teeth. 1-Gauze stays in till sleepytime... If its still bleeding, put more in but not while you're sleeping; you could choke on the darn stuff. 2-Should heal in a week or two... for some teeth its more, some less...seems to depend upon the size of the hole and the number of roots. 3-Food will "swish" out with water...not to worry! It won't reinfect. 4-You WILL feel the hole with your tongue, but after a week or two, it'll seem normal and you won't notice it.... 5. GOOD FOR YOU FOR GOING!!!! Cleans out the teapot, the coffee mugs, and anything that usually requires hard scrubbing. Just put water in it, drop in a tablet and a little later... CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. Mom used to use this stuff, and I got in the habit years ago. Always have some of those tablets in the house. Something I just do and never even think to tell anyone about it. I'll bet soaking inkyfingers in it would work too. I never thought about that before, but next inkypaws will have a shot at it. --`--,--{@ Patti in Fort Myers, FL @}--`--,-- ~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~ Computers are life. I received the shoe swap last week--what an interesting bunch of cards! From Carol Nim: What a wonderful card! She has stamped and embossed yellow bricks all over a black background, and then she stamped and embossed a lady's high heeled shoe in red tinsel and cut it out and attached it. The shoe looks great and it really DOES look like the Ruby slipper (I'LL GET YOU MY PRETTY!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHH!) LOL! Thanks so much! from Pingram: There is a box on the front stamped and embossed with rainbow ink on white, cut-out, and layered on mulberry, and then on black CS. You can see the top of a black old fashioned show coming out of the box, and when you open it up you see the bottom portion of the shoe--that is cool--I have never seen anything done like that before! Thanks so much! From Lisa Wynn: Excellent "guy" card! On the bottom is kind of dark tan, then layered with green with a deckled edge, then another layer of lighter tan at an angle, and then a pair of shoes stamped in brown on white with a deckled edge and again at the opposite angle. Underneath it says "No one else can fill your shoes!" I love it! I don't know what kind of shoes those are--are they called oxfords maybe? Anyway, they are "man" shoes. From Gert Oliver: This is such a bright happy card! The bottom layer i textured CS, then a layer of bright red polka dotted paper with gold photo corners framing it, and inside is a little girl smiling with big feet and on the bottom of her feet it says "Just sittin here thinkin about you", and she is colored in shades or red. What a cute card! Thanks Gert! From Penelope Lincoln: A bookmarker--the bottom layer is blue, then there is a layer of white with the background of shoes embossed in gold sparkle, all over randomly. Then there is a woman (she looks like she is from the "Marilyn Monroe era") standing in a sultry pose and she is embossed in teal sparkle (gorgeous color BTW!). And on her foot her shoe is covered with little gold beads. I have never seen these before--they are so TINY! I love this. Thanks so much! From Ginny: The card is burgundy, and then layered with black polka dotted paper and then striped paper, Then there is an old Victorian lace up shoe, colored in red and black, and it looks like the whole thing is either embossed or laminated or something--anyway it is really shiny. And each layer is 3Ded--very cool card! I really like it! Thanks Ginny! This swap was very imaginative and I really enjoyed it. Thanks y'all! Kimberlee, with a very rare exception now and then, your email is the only one that I receive that has the different colors and fonts. I don't have any problems viewing your messages, but it does slow things up a bit on my computer. Now, that light gray you use on occasion is impossible for me to read so I have to delete those. Everyone else's email looks the same and I guess I'd just rather have them all uniform so I can get through them quickly. That would be my preference if I had my way, but I'm not going to throw a fit since they really don't cause me a lot of trouble. Of course I probably shouldn't mention that I fold and sort my sock drawer by color...alphabetically...but that doesn't mean I'm compulsive about uniformity. Really. I used these two as examples because I get these types of messages the most. There are a lot of different types of messages come my way ;) Thanks for your input, you are a dear! I guess my whole problem is this.... I take a lot of pride in the fact that I keep my software current and always use whatever the standard formats are. These formats are actually the standard formatting right now. I dont understand why I should have to change or downgrade because others do not have the standard (I dont mind changing the color, I actually just started using purple yesterday. I was trying it out). If I am expected to change then everyone must be expected to change. I get messages in lots of different colors and text styles. A lot of the list members are having fun with their email. I think thats great! I DO NOT appreciate being singled out on this one. I am not the only one who uses the up to date email programs and I am not the only one who uses a different text style or color, yet my mailbox today was filled with messages from list members who thought it was their responsibility to notify me that I was doing something wrong. I have been told I must change my message format immediately or my messages will be automatically deleted by some, while others have told me they refuse to read my posts if I cant be courteous to the list members! Maybe Im wrong, but I really dont think I deserved some of the things that were said to me today. If there is to be a change, then the whole list must decide to change together. In other words it must be agreed upon that only straight text messages can be sent. I dont have a problem with it if everyone agrees to do the same thing. I know the flames are going to come my way, they already are. I would really like to see a discussion on this and then we can decide as a group what to do. That's the whole idea behind the list, we are a group and we set our list guidelines together. One thing though..... lets try to be nice about it.
