I have tried each one of these papers and can tell you that you can dry emboss with the lightweight and the heavy. (like Pergamano)Even the sheer is durable enough. It turns white when you dry emboss. The medium weight "mottled" does not dry emboss. It looks like parchment and it's very pretty. I use it on the inside of my fancier, more serious cards, like the RAK dove cards I made for the dove swappers and others. All of these can be embossed on. All of them have many different applications. If you order any of these, I will send you a handmade card of your choice using one of the translucent papers. You let me know Heavy, Meduim Mottled or Lightweight. I also have a tips and techniques sheet for you. She must massage the feet of the Master Swap List Keeper in fine aeromatic oils. She must also bribe The Keeper with gifts of chocolate, gummy bears and diet Coke. When she sees cards The Keeper has done, she must brag about them in public and strive to stamp just like The Keeper. Or she can send her swap info directly to The Keeper because The Keeper goes cross-eyed trying to keep up with all the proposed swaps, official swaps, swap updates, swap cancellations, swap questions, swap changes, swap deadlines, etc. However if The Hostess continually sends her official swap notices directly to The Keeper after The Keeper has added the swap to the most recent list, The Keeper reserves the right to curse that Hostess under her breath in the privacy of her own home until said Hostess moves on to that giant ink pad in the sky. The first was a collage card from Suki along with several wonderful unmounteds. The collage has a great moon image embossed in copper and a piece of balsa wood (I think) that has these little geometric shapes stamped on it. I love this little piece of wood; makes it very unique. Lots of other neat things on this card too. Thanks Suki. I also received a card from Heather Reilly. This card has a rose stamped using a rainbow pad in the cener of a white background with four smaller flowers in the corners. She has done a lavender edge on the card with Tombows or Marvies I believe. This is layered over a piece of gold cardstock that is just slightly larger than the first layer. The background card is camel. Very pretty card; thanks Heather for thinking of me. Yesterday I received the bear pattern from SteelerStamper. She also included two great sheets of cardstock as well as the cutest bear card you've ever seen. The little bear is wearing a bunny costume which has been painted with white liquid applique. To the left of the bear is *loveable, snuggable hugs to you* stamped and embossed in silver on a little pink square which has been deckled and embossed on the edges with silver as well. The little pink square and bear are cut out and layered over pink checked card stock. This too is deckled and layered over a mint green cardstock. The card itself is a beautiful, soft pink (maybe Astrobrite? I'm not certain). The entire presentation is topped off with a baby pink bow. I dearly love this card and would love to use it for a *new baby* card. Thanks so much Beverly. I know you sent these to others as well and you are so sweet for going to all this work and effort. I also received my Happy Rubber Stamps catalog yesterday which has great images. Thanks Ginny for a wonderful selection of stamps. After looking through this, I remember that you have that awesome Squiggle Heart which I had the pleasure of seeing in the AIG swap; I need that image! Thanks to all for making this a wonderful mail week.
