I'm sorry I didn't explain these better. I've gotten a bunch of requests asking what these are, so I'll try to explain it better: Organza ribbons are those sheer ribbons you often see tying a vellum layer to a solid cardstock. Some people use them to tie closed books or portfolios. They are a single color, very sheer shimmery. They are very classy ribbons. Let me know if you need more info. I really enjoyed the town, the stamps and all the wonderful people from the list that I got to meet. I got there Friday afternoon and headed right out to catch the shuttle to the stamp store. I stood there and talked to a lady for probably ten minutes , when I finally read the name tag she had on. It was Cheshire Cat. Here I am waiting to meet someone from the list and I was talking to her. The Stamp store was really a nice store with lots of friendly faces and great stamps. Fri. night I finally after about 3 years got to meet Rosemarie G. We were writing to each other long before either one of us knew what Email was. I also got to meet Cathy Schadler. Would you belive those 2 nightowls made me get up before 6 AM to go to breakfast so we could be in line by 7. Standing in the line was almost as much fun as the convention. We traded pins and gabbed and met all kinds of friendly, excited people. I made my way to the Viva booth to meet Linda Skirvin, and Beverly (Grabbag)Larson, Sammi Lynn, and I think Vicki. I just loved finally having faces to put with the names. I also ran into Linda V. I shopped till I almost dropped and went to the Bombay Bicycle Club for dinner and met more list memebers. I know if I list all the names I'll forget someone but I'm sure from other posts you know who was there..Rubberchickie,Coastie Wife and her mom, June (crash) Kozar. Sorry to hear about that June and really hope that you are fine. Linda, Stampin Sneak and Stampin MaMa, Melinda Carmain and Cheshire Cat.I know I forgot several but I have my pictures back already and will go try and get all the names written on the backs of them before I forget. What a weekend. Can't wait to do it again. Now if I can only find time to play with my stamps.. There was one gal who was working the Stampendous booth, who made the most delightful pins(?). There was a huge denim pocket stamp that she made into a real pocket on a ribbon you could wear around your neck. In the pocket was a stamped paper doll and outfits for her. I don't know how many of these she made, but I tell you, when she saw that I had pins, she didn't ask what kind, she asked "Do you want to trade?" Now all I had was my little yellow squares that said "Life may not be the party we hoped for for while we're here we can dance." with little dancers under it. Now SHE didn't mind that my pin was tiny and not nearly as much work as her's were, but she was delighted to trade with me. I was embarassed by my offering, under those circumstances and said I didn't think it would be fair. But she INSISTED we trade. I'm glad I did. But I'm even glader that SHE did! --`--,--{@ Patti in Fort Myers, FL @}--`--,-- ~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~ Computers are life. Rubberstamping is art.
