Hail the Queen of Joseph's Coat! I went to see your (Stargazer's) samples of this technique at the San Raphael Rubberrama and I was SO IMPRESSED!!! The colors were so vivid and the blacks were so black! Hence my question: I have done this and the colors were as vivid as I brayered them, but my black top coat was no where near as black and smooth as yours. Mine was sort of translucent and not too dark. How do you do this? What ink for the top coat do you use? I used the shiny coated paper, is there a special brand of shiny paper you have to use? Help! I know I can't be the Queen, but I'd like to be at least a Duchess. It left a BIG ink spot where there wasn't suppose to be one. I asked to exchange it for a different one and they reluctantly said ok. Then I asked them to check the next one to see if it did the same thing. It did. After all of the wheels were tried and did the same thing I asked for my money back so I could go to one of the other shops in the Portland area to get the same wheel. I needed it for a card I was working on. This shop did not have a policy posted at that time but said they would not give me my money only credit. I ended up being forced to find something else to buy so I wouldn't loose my money on a defective wheel. I never was able to locate another wheel and so I talked to Clearsnap about my problem. They sent me the wheel and even checked it out to make sure it didn't have the same problem. I went to the Milwaukee shop one other time and had bad service from an employee, not the owner who is a nice person. I still decided it wasn't worth dealing with this other person's attitude and have not returned for 1 1/2 years. I have other better options. Wish the owner would read this and get rid of that nasty person that has been in her employ for years. : { When I get bad or nasty service I go elsewhere, even if it means shopping by mail.
