This time there might be clues. She gave a return address in Petaluma, CA. I'll have to start paying attention to where everyone is from and look it up on the map. If I send a card to that address to secret sister, will you receive it? She's also into computers and used great jpegs on clear address labels and barcodes. Hmmm. She sent a layered card on beige earthtone cardstock--very nice. She embossed pumpkins and gourds on what I believe is fun foam, deckled it, layered it on translucent vellum (?) on top of green and white polka dot background paper. She used a corner rounder on all the papers. I love that look. I have the Fiskars edgers and find myself using the rounder the most. Inside was a gold embossed phrase "praises we give for the bounties of fall...but the harvest of friendship is blest above all". Isn't that lovely? She really has a perfect touch for matching words with images and color--just the right papers and embellishments. Yes, I'm back in school--oh my aching feet! Thank you so much for the lovely card--it was such an uplifting surprise. You wouldn't want white, probably, but a silver/color combination. I have many jars of interference powder (can be used with all kinds o projects) and don't know what I ever did without them. I can throw them in when I make paste paper--or any paper, for that matter--stipple them into wet crafter's ink stipples, and when I do watercolor backgrounds, they are a neat touch. Good for Fimo stuff, too.... Before you ask, interference powders can be gotten from some of the list vendors--Grandma's Attic comes to mind, think Michelle just posted about Pearl-x. Daniel smith has the powders, too. These jars (both Pearl-x and D.S.) contain a thousand years' supply of powder, so it would be possible to share. Watch the decanting of the powder, though, as it flies everywhere, and you don't want to breathe it much. VSN had a nice article about the paints, as may have been mentioned, in the Sept issue. But you can put the powder into any paint. Attention Mom and Dad~~ My SS deserves the SS award of the month!! She absolutely spoils me rotten. I have had such a wonderful time in these SS matches. It is on Sept. 25 and I'll be 35 even though right now I feel like it should be at least 135! It will also be my 16th anniversary this month but since my husband left me and our kids a month ago, (needless to say) I don't think that I'll be celebrating on that day. LindaSue: red cardstock cut in postcard size rounded corners, then white cardstock cut a tad smaller and layered on top with lots of postoid stamps stamped all over...some look like they were masked and then lastly on top of that is a postoid stamp called express love pop-dotted on top. I like this card. Ann-onymous: White cardstock cut in a card, front has been stamped with round stamps all over and then pickle post, jud' garland post, and sloth post 3-toed delivery post done on other cardstock and glued on top. I like this one too. no name: Special delivery and mail art stamped all around like a border on a postcard cut piece of glossy cardstock and then for the stamp area it has fur's class postoid stamped there and then rubber stamp post with cancellation lines right next to that. In the middle is what looks like a teddy bear putting mail in the mailbox with the flag up and butterfly priority post and a heart postoid stamped in random around the bear. another stamp to the left below the bear is: To my friend with flowers and looks like a little envelope. real cute postcard. nanstamps: old fashioned lady putting mail in mailbox mounted on a post and stamp post postoid stamped next to that, then small stamp of a mail carrier then an actual stamp and cancellation lines then on the bottom right it is stamped mail art, then a boxer dog with a collar holdin' a letter envelope in his mouth. To the bottom left is a mini envelope and 2 sheets of stationery. Then The words: It's in the mail done in calligraphy. all this on white which is then mounted on blue cardstock and the back has a cancelled stamp, top has POSTCARD done there then on the bottom is two birds, an inkwell and a little book. I like this postcard. No name: Blue cardstock in card style with white layered on top that has clouds, a tree, grass and then in the middle of all of this a mailbox with a squirrel inside holding an envelope. Really cute card. Thanks to all for these goodies!! Thank you Dianna for hostessing. CajunStamper: mini bag cut from a smallish yellow envelope and red zigzags rollergraphed in two places. It's in the Bag stamped at random in between the rollergraphed zigzags. I like this. LindaLoo: steer head and cowboy hat rollergraphed on the diagonal and the middle of the bag a mama horse and baby foal looks like they were put on first then masked. The horse and foal are done in Copper E.P. The top of the bag has copper foiling then red leather strips for the handles. Naomi wanted to steal this one. I wouldn't let her. Tammy Sue Reynolds: Little purple baggie with green corrugated layered on the front and leaves below that and ep'd in green. Then wonder of wonders...a Lavendar pin laminated and pinned to the bag. I love this pin. I want the stamp you made this pin with...it's soo cute. Dianna: a white bag that hs been splattered with different greens, blues and pinks. Then on the front it has a piece of green corrugated paper done on the diagonal then on top of that is another green a lighter green, non corrugated and it has To: and From: on it. this would be a perfect gift bag to use for anyone!! Last but not least from Eunice: in the front...a tree, a bird, little roo, tigger and Christopher Robin with presents under the tree...continuing the theme on the back...is rabbit, piglet, eyeore and pooh holding a baloon. My mom is gonna love this one..she is a pooh fanatic!! hehehe...I love this baggie. Thanks for a great swap!!
