Hazel used dark green cardstock with a layer that she brayered on with a rainbow pad and then stamped a beautiful scene of trees, a field, a lake and a deer. Stunning! I love the brayered background and have to try this! CP? used marbled beige cardstock with a layer of dark green and a layer of white. This top layer had a nice stamped scene of a river, mountains trees etc and is colored in just beautifully! I think it was watercolored. In any case, it sure is a pretty card! No Name? but you did a nice job and I got my first ever sample of stamping on cork! This was a white card with a green sponge type background and then a layer of off-white in a neat texture and then a layer of pale green that is corrugated. On top of all this is a deer stamped on cork and outlined in black. There is a brown paper ribbon in the top left corner to finish things off. Another great card! Our hostess Lynette Walters made a breathtaking card utilizing dark green cardstock and a brayered layer that has been trimmed in fiskars. Their is a nice scene on it of a man fishing in the wilderness and underneath it she wrote in gold pen the word, 'Alaska". Just gorgeous! Oakleyme? used a pretty blue marbled paper and then stamped a scene with a sun, clouds, mountains, trees, grass, a bear and a boy. This card reminds me of the book, Benny and the Bear, which was a favorite childhood story of mine! You were sure busy stamping all this, lots of hard work here and it shows. A very nice card! Val Kildaw also made a beautiful card on white cardstock that is trimmed with a border of black rainbowish ep and the scene in the center is of a wolf howling at the moon with trees in the background. A very nice card! Thanks again everyone, this swap was great! Imagine, I came away from a stamp store with no stamps for myself. All of you great vendors have spoiled me big time! It was a nice drive and pretty day with the foliage just starting to show color. I will post all the thought out details shortly, I need to think about some of the questions that were brought up before deciding. I'm pretty sure the exchange will be based on weight and I will take into consideration if the die is or is not on cushion. If you replied to my proposal to this swap, I will post the details to you in a private e-mail message via a distribution list. In the mean time I have a couple of things for you to think about. What type of stamps would you like to swap for? What type of stamps would you prefer not to have. Based on what you tell me, I'll do my best to swap what you send in for something you will like, of course hoping that it will not be something you already have in your unmounted stash. If you do receive something back that you already have, and if this swap idea goes well, maybe I'll do it again before the holidays hit. :-) Another thing to thing about is a question I was asked by one of the interested parties so I thought I'd throw out the idea and get a response from all of you. Would you be interested in swapping papers, cardstock, ep, glitter, stickers and other fun stamp supplies. Personally, I think this would be best done as a separate swap which I would be very willing to host this type of swap along with the unmounted stamp swap. If you'd be interested in swapping all of these things, the items can be sent to me and returned to you in one package. Papers and cardstock would also be swapped based on weight. I know I have lots of papers that I've purchased in reams that I'd be willing to swap for some other interesting papers. Please let me know it you'd be interested in doing this. I've just made an executive decision, if there is interest in swapping fun stamping supplies (papers, etc.) it will be a separate but concurrent swap along with the unmounted stamp swap. So far, I've had over twenty people e-mail their interest in the unmounted stamp swap. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join. Watch for more swap details to be posted to you in a private message if you've already contacted me or on the RSing lists later tonight, tomorrow or early next week at the latest. Thats to Lisa Wynn for hosting this swap and to all of the great players! Judy Lee made a pretty card with white cardstock and a delicate layer of floral/dot wallpaper. on top of that is a hat stamped and colored in on white cardstock with a real ribbon attached to it. Nice touch! ? Oakley used green cardstock (nice shade!) with a layer of rose colored paper and athen stamped on white cardstock is a lady wearing a large hat. Very nice card and the papers are beautiful! Deb Bemer used a pretty grayish cardstock and edged it with fiskars on all 3 opening sides. She used a nice stamp of a bunny wearing a hat and diggin into a large dress up trunk. This was stamped and then embossed in a real pretty sparkly rose color. Pretty card! Linda Grayson used glossy pink cardstock (haven't seen that before, its very nice!) with a layer of white on top that has a stamp of a kitten in a hat box and the hat is on its head! This had been beautifully colored in and there is a ribbon in the top left corner. Beautiful job! Alison Renetta made a very imaginative card using black cardstock with 3 different ladies stamped and then glued to the front. She has used stamps and embellishments to create 3 very unique hats for these ladies and then finished it off with a postoid that says, Commemorating Dumb Hats! This is so great, wish I could think of things like this! Lisa Wynn made a really cute magnet of a little girl earing a hat. Since I collect magnets (and most of mine are packed away right now, pending a move), this is especially welcome! Very cute too! Thanks again to everyone! Hey these calendars are going like hotcakes. I want to inform you of a few small changes. 1. It seems that more of you prefer matte cardstock, so I've changed the default for the calendars to matte. Glossy will continue to be available, but only upon request. 2. I have also withdrawn the option to have the calendar punched and not bound as there seems to be on one interested in that option. 3. Also, please note, that on my web site you can now see the ArtiStamps I already have available. As more are ready, I'll add them to the site. ^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^ Patti's Stamping Calendar - 1998 and ArtiStamps too Update 9-6-97 If you would like to get a head start on your 1998 Christmas stamping take notice! While planning Christmas gifts for friends and family, I designed a really nice 1998 stamping calendar on my computer. It has plenty of space to stamp on every month's page. It contains 12 pages - 1 for each month - each is 5.5" x 8.5" (portrait orientation) and a blank cover (front and back) page containing only the year (1998) on the front. The calendar grids cover only the bottom half of the pages, leaving the top of every page blank for stamping and binding. You can make some pretty nifty stamping creations on that part (14 pages for stamping - - not counting the backs of the pages). I've typeset all dates and added all the holidays that I could find (some quite remote). I even found Mother-In-Law Day . Stampers think this is a good idea and many are getting several of the stamping calendars. They also make great SSS gifts - you can stamp them and make them very personal or send them blank for your SSS to stamp her own. Thanks to the initial encouragement of the rubber stampers on the RS list, I am offering these calendars for sale. I am also going to offer them via an ad on my web page. Watch for the announcement of that taking place. The calendar is made on versatile, smooth Wausau vellum bristol. white, matte heavy coverstock which stamps beautifully both for embossing or not, pigments or dye inks, coloring with markers, pencils or watercolor, however, on request, you can have it on King James Silhouette Cast Coat glossy cardstock , instead at the same price. You'd want to have these pretty soon so you can start work on them in plenty of time for the new year. The default, if not specified, is comb bound on matte stock. If you prefer glossy finish or unbound, please specify when you order. PRICE LIST: Plain blank calendars as described above: (includes blank covers with 1998 imprinted on the front cover STYLE PRICE EACH not punched, not bound $2.50 punched and comb bound $3.50 Florida residents only, sales tax 6 % SHIPPING CHARGES: Qty Shipping (actual) 1 .78 2 1.47 3 2.16 4 2.85 5 or more priority mail 3.00 or up depending on weight So if you want one or some, why not get your order to me right away so I can get started. Your calendars will be ready to start shipping early in September. Unfortunately, I can't take credit cards and would need to have a check in advance. When you send your order, please be sure to specify the following: - how many calendars you want - if you want your calendars on glossy stock please be sure to specifiy as the default is matate - whether you want them comb bound or not E-mail your order to StamPatti@juno.com I will respond with confirmation. Participants in the Leo swap received a set of my Leo ArtiStamps and several of them suggested that other stampers might be interested in them too. So, I've also been working on some more great artistamps. So far I only have: "Leo" (Lions) "Celebrating Women" "Art - As You Like It" "Ayre Mail" (Birds) but lots more are in the works. These are in color, on sticker paper. They come in blocks of 6 different ArtiStamps per set and will cost $1.00 per set (postage included). You can see my ArtiStamps on my web page too.
