On red card stock she stamped tiny hearts in white and then embossed them in white. Over this she layered a round doily over which she layered a neat heart with ribbons. In the lower corner she cut out a heart with "Happy Valentines Day" embossed on it in red. Under this is a LOVE postoid. Great card. It is sitting here on my desk for while until it goes into the "keeper" folder. Thanks for the wonderful card. I suppose what I have to do is kind of "mess up" this new pad?? Any suggestions? Ant Judy H. ------------------------------ From: "Judy \"Dragonhome\" Perry" Date: Sat, 15 Feb 1997 21:37:11 -0800 Subject: Dragonhome's Birthday SSS Package WOW! I came home today from a trip to San Francisco and found a package on my door step. I thought "This must be the 2nd package my SSS said she was going to send" Before I opened it, Mike (my BF) said "Maybe it's money" as a joke. Inside was a neat card made using valentine hearts that said "This is not your second February box, This is you 1997 Birthday box from your SSS" Then then was a neat card with 3-d butterflies on it (using Denami stamps?) that were painted with metallics (?) stamped on dark blue cardstock. This was mounted onto some dark purple card stock that has some neat corners on it. Then this was mounted onto an ivory card. Inside is stamped HAPPY BIRTHDAY and a neat poem that reads: It will end We wil conserve only what we love We will love only what we understand We will understand only what we are taught. Then there were packages......and like a little kid I opened them laughing the whole time. One package had a white and a brown tube of Liquid Applique. This is neat stuff. One package had a strip of button candy. I didn't know they still made this stuff!!! Then there was a package that had a velumn thickish envelope in it. Inside the envelope is 12 sheets of stationary (6 stamped, 6 blank) and matching envelopes. This is great. And I needed some stationary because I just got back in touch with my neice that I haven't talked to in almost 20 years!!! Did you make the stationary? Next was a roll of Necco Original Candy Wafer in Chocolate. How did you know I liked these? Another candy that I thought was no longer made! Next was a stamp from Comotion of a hand holding an card that reads Hand Stamped by. This stamp will get ALOT of use. Then a Bronze box with dry embossed flowers added on top. A rectangle shape with rounded corners. Inside was some potpourri and paper streamers and a Birthstone Angel. She is sitting on top of my computer opposite my penquin. She looks so good up there! Lastly, was a roll of large (we are talking 4" x 9" here) format money. There are bill for $1 bills to $20 bills. I just had to show them to Mike and say "Well, you wished for money and here it is!" We got a good laugh out of that. These will make it into a card I am sure. Each of the items were wrapped in wonderfully colorful paper. Then all of this was packaged inside of one of those folding boxes with handles (house shaped sort of) with potpoutti all around it. Then that was packaged inside of a box filled with styrofoam "peanuts". Thanks for a wonderful collection of birthday presents. I just want to know how in the world you knew about two of my favorite candies from my childhood? I used to go nuts trying to find button candy and the wafers. (I realize that last sentence was long and grammatically poor, so what??) I really love the magazins, SS. I've never seen it before this, the stores in Appleton don't carry it. Thanks again! I also received my ANM catalog from Baggie. I'm going to bed now to read tham both and rest my hands and arms. Pain is pretty bad tonight. My Mom and I were experiencing the same problem, and noticed that one message in particular was taking a long time to download. It was from " msurad@pkgate1". It would take up to 10 minutes and still would only have half of it loaded! Finally we called our server and asked if they could take it off. They did and our mail has been fine ever since. ( 143 messages later!!!). They did tell us that her message was 3 megabytes big ( that is 3,000,000 bytes!!) and she sent 2 of them!! WOW! They must have been really cool, but unfortunately our computer couldn't handle it. So if you know anyone that is having this problem and can call them on the phone ( because they will never see this post) they can solve the problem too. Hope this helps! I feel that this all needs to be done privately until you come to a resolution and then **maybe** post to the list. I personally don't care or want to know about it, even if it's a swap I'm involved in. Maybe, if the swap is delayed because the host decides to wait for your stuff you could post an apology to the list with a subject line that has the swap name in it.
