I got the first issue today and of course I read Stampatti's article first. Makes me wish that, when she was my SS last round and I met her in Florida, I wish we'd gone to the stores she reviewed. (I realize that last sentence was long and grammatically poor, so what??) I really love the magazins, SS. I've never seen it before this, the stores in Appleton don't carry it. Thanks again! I also received my ANM catalog from Baggie. I'm going to bed now to read tham both and rest my hands and arms. Pain is pretty bad tonight. Keep the prayers and good thoughts coming....I still need them, thanks. They did and our mail has been fine ever since. ( 143 messages > later!!!). They did tell us that her message was 3 megabytes big ( that is 3,000,000 bytes!!) and she sent 2 of them!! WOW! They must have been really cool, but unfortunately our computer couldn't handle it. So if you know anyone that is having this problem and can call them on the phone ( because they will never see this post) they can solve the problem too. Hope this helps! Barb When I was getting messages like this everyday, I asked one of the tech guys from the district and he said that the person who is sending the message has a bad footer ands that causes all the messages to get connected. I had thse huge messages that would take forever to load because everyone after that person was connected and I eneded up getting a mega message, I was ending up having to wade through a lot of technical stuff that I don't usually see. Anyway, that may be one explanation Liz ------------------------------ From: gardner@datastar.net (R. I have only bought the Pergamano brand but was given a couple sheets of paper to test to see if would work for Pergamano. Since I don't have any type of packaging for the second paper, I don't really know if it vellum or parchment. The Pergamano paper does say "parchment". From my experience, parchment paper does not take ink well - it seems to have a oily coating and the ink does not dry. It warps badly when you try to heat emboss it. This is just my limited experience. I haven't tried much stamping on the parchment since my initial attempts did not turn out well. I have seen numerous posts about stamping on vellum and it sounds like the results are very different so there probably is a big difference in the papers. If you saved my last message, please get your White Out and write in "parchment" every where that I wrote "vellum" Thanks Barbara - I would hate for anyone to try Pergamano on the wrong paper and be disapointed with the results.
