I'm sure it's grown a fair lot since the last one I messed around with (and I'll likely not see the new one for a couple days.. the downside of bein' a Z..).. but the one before last (I think) I took in to Word, shrunk it down to 8 pt. type, put it into 3 columns and got it down to about 21 pages I think. maybe 22. or 23. way fewer than it started at any rate. I took out the extra lines, like if a person hadn't included phone, work phone, birthday, alternate e-mail address, webpage address.. whatever, if it was empty, I took it out.. and the folks who had several paragraphs of likes and dislikes.. I.. condensed those a bit!.. bolded the names, highlighted the nicknames, italicized the business names.. whatever i could think of to do to make it easier to scan through to find what I was lookin' for. I didn't do that with the last one I got.. just left it in my inbox in it's pieces.. and just go to the one that has the right chunk of the alphabet when I'm looking for something.. the big all put together one is easier to work with, cuz it's easier to search.. but it sure was a lot of trouble! anno This message was from "annette" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I've just logged on and haven't read any posts yet. It seems that I have unintentionally stirred up a hornets nest by disturbing the order of things here on the board. My SINCEREST apologies for answering your posts to the list, it's just that some of them were SO funny that I thought some people might enjoy reading them (can you imagine imortalizing a LOUSE in rubber?!). I also thought that because the content was rubberstamp related that it wasn't a TAN as I was told I should have included on the Subject : line. I also included the persons name on the Subject: line so people would know to skip the post if they wanted to! (I guess I BLEW that too, boy am I a BAD GIRL!!!) ALSO in my computer ignorance, I thought that the note I was answering would be automatically attached to my post! (you might have noticed I haven't been on here much) WRONG again!! (I knew I should have taken that Internet course at the community College!) I feel like the kid in the grocery cart that pulls a jar out from the middle of the display of Spaghetti sauce the Manager just finished setting up! (OOPS! I'm a VERY bad girl!!!) I've been accused of Advertising and not including COMM in the Subject: line (Boy, if I'm advertising, I'd better get my act in gear! I only have about 300 more illustrations to go!!) But REALLY I am truly sorry if in my ignorance I ruffled any feathers, it wasn't my intention. I do have to say that if the first person who complained to me hadn't been so kurt and hadn't assumed that I was doing it intentionally, it never would have gotten to this point to begin with! (I take more kindly to friendly advice then to a slap on the wrist!) ONE MORE THING!! (I promise to keep it short!) There has been alot of bitterness here lately in general! I was shocked because I had been off for several weeks because of computer trouble, and there was a noticable CHANGE in the atmosphere on the list! GOSH, THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN GUYS!! Isn't life complicated enough without LOOKING for conflict?? I will again apologize for answering anyone on the list that E-Mailed me privately, I really didn't know, but my feeling is Public or Private, if you don't like conflict then make sure you are treating people with the same respect you expect to be treated with! I won't read any more posts from this point (I don't enjoy the sight of my own blood EVERYWHERE, it spoils my day!) unless the word "FRIEND" appears in the Subject line! Thanks to all who have taken the time to share their ideas with me, it's been FUN!! Talk to you soon! After you pour the Beedz over the top of the glue, cover the layer of Beedz with wax paper and lightly roll a bottle or drinking glass (like rolling out dough) over the top. :) Sheryl Davis aka Postoid Artist email This message was from postoids@artlover.com - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. Gold and White cards are really beautiful! Thanks for hosting this swap! Carole Mork embossed a heart wreath and a "For You" with a rose through it with gold, then colored it in. The colors are very vibrant. I'm guessing that she used a stamp positioner after she colored to get such a clear effect. She also layered a matte white card on top of glossy card stock. Very nice! Glenyce Mork embossed a piece of dark raspberry mulberry paper with the word "Love" in gold and layered this on a shiny piece of gold paper (hard candy wrapper maybe?), then layered this on top of lightly speckled white cardstock. Inside was embossed in gold, Congratulations with really swirly curleques. I've never been able to emboss on Mulberry to my satisfaction--this looked really good! Susan Benedict embossed (in gold) a garden/hollyhock scene. The edges of the card were scalloped with fancy scissors. Almost along the fold of the card was a line of sparkly gold. I enjoyed the simplicity of this card. It made me think of summer days of my youth. Pam Poehlmann embossed in gold a heart shaped "dream catcher", and lightly colored in key areas --like the feathers and beads-- with (perhaps) chalk. She then "halo'd" the entire image with a tawny/goldish color for a very mystic illusion. Linda Green embossed a cute angel holding a rubberstamp onto a piece of deckled cardstock. She then attached this to a piece of glossy paper spray webbed with gold and added a little bow for the final touch. A very cute card. - -- :-D awn Golden Sunrise Enterprises 200 Mtn Pk Bv SW Suite A101 Issaquah WA 98027 sunrise@wolfenet.com http://members.tripod.com/~Sunrise/ fb/slam, x-files loop, Queen of the Slugs ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ STAMP OF THE DAY Some people come into our lives, and quickly go.
