(this is a little long) I've just logged on and haven't read any posts yet. It seems that I have unintentionally stirred up a hornets nest by disturbing the order of things here on the board. My SINCEREST apologies for answering your posts to the list, it's just that some of them were SO funny that I thought some people might enjoy reading them (can you imagine imortalizing a LOUSE in rubber?!). I also thought that because the content was rubberstamp related that it wasn't a TAN as I was told I should have included on the Subject : line. I also included the persons name on the Subject: line so people would know to skip the post if they wanted to! (I guess I BLEW that too, boy am I a BAD GIRL!!!) ALSO in my computer ignorance, I thought that the note I was answering would be automatically attached to my post! (you might have noticed I haven't been on here much) WRONG again!! (I knew I should have taken that Internet course at the community College!) I feel like the kid in the grocery cart that pulls a jar out from the middle of the display of Spaghetti sauce the Manager just finished setting up! (OOPS! I'm a VERY bad girl!!!) I've been accused of Advertising and not including COMM in the Subject: line (Boy, if I'm advertising, I'd better get my act in gear! I only have about 300 more illustrations to go!!) But REALLY I am truly sorry if ,in my ignorance I ruffled any feathers, it wasn't my intention. I do have to say that if the first person who complained to me hadn't been so kurt and hadn't assumed that I was doing it intentionally, it never would have gotten to this point to begin with! (I take more kindly to friendly advice then to a slap on the wrist!) ONE MORE THING!! (I promise to keep it short!) There has been alot of bitterness here lately in general! I was shocked because I had been off for several weeks because of computer trouble, and there was a noticable CHANGE in the atmosphere on the list! GOSH, THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN GUYS!! Isn't life complicated enough without LOOKING for conflict?? I will again apologize for answering anyone on the list that E-Mailed me privately, I really didn't know, but my feeling is, Public or Private, if you don't like conflict then make sure you are treating people with the same respect you expect to be treated with! I won't read any more posts from this point (I don't enjoy the sight of my own blood EVERYWHERE, it spoils my day!) unless the word "FRIEND" appears in the Subject line! Thanks to all who have taken the time to share their ideas with me, I'd love to hear more !!! It's been FUN!! Talk to you soon! We had it on Friday night (the one that just passed as a matter of fact). I asked the parents to drop off their girls between 5:30-6:00 and to pick up their daughter no later than 9:30 Saturday morning. This worked fine. When they first got here they played in the house and outside. Then the pizza came and they ate like a picnic on the dining room floor. Then my daughter, who planned everything for them to do, got out the beads. She and her friends are really into the pony beads and making gecko's, snakes and other assorted critters. This kept them busy for quite awhile. They also watched videos and regular Friday night TV. Then about 8:30 they had cake/ice-cream and then she opened her gifts. BTW, the pizza, cake and ice-cream was all they ate. I had planned to also have popcorn, but with the timing here it wasn't needed. After the gifts opening they did more with the beads, watched a movie and got out on of the bday presents that was a coloring scene thing and they all took turns coloring. About 10:00 I made sure that they were all in their jammies and sleeping bags (they slept on the floor in the living room) and they continued to watch the movie they had put in. At 11:15 I turned off all lights and TV .... several of the girls were already asleep. They woke up at about 6:30ish .... I asked them to stay in their sleeping bags until 7:30 so I had a chance to get dressed. Then I helped them with breakfast....we had gotten those little boxes of assorted cereal. Each girl picked what they wanted, a couple boxes each was enough, and they ate= breakfast. After breakfast they got dressed and all their stuff together. They did some more with the beads and just waited for their parents to come. All in all it turned out great and I have heard from several of the parents since that the girls had a real good time! Why, a good pen and this one is beautiful. Thank you. I checked over the weekend and I can get the Parker refills. The silver with gold is just beautiful. For those unfamiliar with Inkadinkado, they are really updating their "style" - -- they have a new line for just scrapbooking and also a supplement devoted just to home decor (with those big solid stamps you can use on walls, fabric, etc.). I'm sending all the new supplements with the catalogue and taking 15% off orders too. Stay in touch and let me know what you think of my new site! This is a peach card, with turquoise "stippling" with rounded edges, and has a beautiful woman on it pouring rose buds. She is in a rectangle, has on a turquoise gown, and has flowing hair She crinkled some real roses and glued them where the ones are coming from the "vase" and also some rose petals and a leaf. I know I'm not doing justice to this card but I don't seem to describe very well. This was from a January birthday exchange. The image is "Art Nouveau Clip art from Dover" and is screen printed with a Print Gocco. Thanks, Janet. By the way, are we allowed to guess our SS yet? I think I know who mine is. : ) ____ Phyllis Ingram Chesapeake, VA 23320 (757) 548-0659 Reach for the moon, even if you miss, you will be among the stars. This is super!! Sea life is one of my favorite things. And the pin was a nice idea, unfortunately, it was not hand stamped, and is really bent. I will work on it slowly to try to unbend, but I think it's a lost cause. Sorry. The pin is a laminated hibiscus? Stamped in black and colored in yellow with green leaves. Really nice idea. The card is blue card stock layered on top with a background (is this a stamp?) that mentions: Caribbean Sea, Indonesia, Great Barrier Reed, Hawaii, Fiji, Mayotte Island, Atoll Reefs, Western South America, East Africa, Taiwan, Northeast Australia, Easter Island in various colors on white card stock edged with Victorian scissors. On top of this is a circle that mentions to "Preserve Nature's Diversity". Inside the circle is a starfish, coral, sea horse, snail, and other sea life carefully colored. She meticulously cut out 3 salt water fish. This is so precious. Definitely a keeper, That Darn Stamper. ____ Phyllis Ingram Chesapeake, VA 23320 (757) 548-0659 Reach for the moon, even if you miss, you will be among the stars.
