My Mom and I were experiencing the same problem, and noticed that one message in particular was taking a long time to download. It was from " msurad@pkgate1". It would take up to 10 minutes and still would only have half of it loaded! Finally we called our server and asked if they could take it off. They did and our mail has been fine ever since. ( 143 messages later!!!). They did tell us that her message was 3 megabytes big ( that is 3,000,000 bytes!!) and she sent 2 of them!! WOW! They must have been really cool, but unfortunately our computer couldn't handle it. So if you know anyone that is having this problem and can call them on the phone ( because they will never see this post) they can solve the problem too. Hope this helps! But I don't like it too straight so I go back over it and free-hand the border a little to give it a brushy edge. I just push the tip of pen past the inside of border a little here and there. I can order embossing pens for you from All Night Media for about $1.90 plus shipping if you're interested. Other vendors here might also already have some in stock. My next ANM order is slated for end of February if you want to hop on board! The Embossing pens also come in ball point (which I don't find very useful. The ink just doesn't stay wet enough for me. It IS good for filling in little gaps in your embossing, however -- color the blank spot and re-emboss). I REALLY like the color Embossing dual tips (Tsukineko) that have calligraphy and fine point nibs. I do custom name cards a lot and when I emboss script, it is gorgeous. Plus they come in about 48 colors -- Yum!! I'm off on a tangent here. Hope this helps! I like getting all the mail, but I do delete most of it unseen, unless the subject line sounds like it holds something of special interest to me. I struggled quite a while until through the help of some of the members on this list and my husband I am now a quick delete artist. I personally have Netscape and a Macintosh. I can delete a very large quantity of messages all at once by highlighting my starting point (clicking the mouse) , then release mouse button , and use it to scroll down until I see the next message of interest . I decide which is the last message I want to delete, hold down my shift key while I click the mouse. This highlights all the messages from the starting point. At that point I click on the delete key at the top of my screen. All gone!!! If I decide I need to not delete a few inbetween or add a few more after my ending point, I use the key to the left of my space bar which has the apple on it, depress it and click my mouse. Most of you already know this I'm sure, but if it helps a couple of new people, it's well worth it. This is much more time efficient than the digest, which I had tried the first time around. I really want to host this swap--i have 3 and will only make it official if i get 5--two more please!! Hi fellow stampers, this is an idea i have been kicking around for several weeks and the thread on favorite musical stuff to stamp to has given me the corage to bring it out to the list. I was thinking about a swap--cards or postcards--that is the visual representation of your favorite song verse. For example, in Stings latest album there is a song where he sings about 2 birds flying away after they were sitting on a tree branch. I can always picture this in my head and since i have become obsessed with rubber (I am a woman obsessed!!) i picture how i would stamp it. I was thinking this would be a good idea for a swap. If this becomes official, and I hope it does, i would like people to incorporate the verse in their package (either as part of the visual or on the back of the card) so other stampers have some idea as to what that person was thinking of. Make sense? How bout due in May? 5 for 6? All the same or all different (your choice)? How about lullabies? Or your special song? Or something that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? Anyway you picture it -- cute or weird -- and any song you want to use. Hope this one flies because I really want to do it :) Holli HolliHobby Holli@mindspring.com ------------------------------ From: Julie Carleton Date: Sun, 16 Feb 1997 00:18:12 -0500 Subject: RS Lumico ink pad uses?
