I can't believe how fast she sent them out. They were due the 5th and are to players about 10 days later. Fast work Heather. Heather made a gift tag envy out of blue and dusty pink and tan wall paper. She also includes some cute stickers. Thanks for hosting too. Kirstin Tilley made an envy from a magazine page. On it was a slice of cheese pizza, BBQ sandwich, hot dog, taco, meatball hero, and a hamburger. A very tasty envy. Makes my mouth water. There were 3 envys made without names includes. They are all great envys . 1) A small (a little larger than gift tag size) of wallpaper in mint green, powder blue and pale yellow and white abstract markings. A pretty envy. 2) A large envy made with gift wrap paper with a globe map on the front and a 1500's explorer looking guy on the flap. Dark green tissue lines the inside. Great to go with a travel theme card. 3) A medium size envy from gift wrap paper also. Printed with old looking books. This like the other two is very nice and a shame I can't credit the creators Inkerbear made an envy out of dark grey vellum. I like this one too. I've not seen a envy made from vellum. Inside she made a postoid pack with 15 postoid stickers. They range from Pooh to Mary Englebriet(sp?) and even a few from Sheryl Davis' collection of stickers. Thanks for the extra treat. Today I received a RAK from Melissa David. I've never seen anyone do tribal cards or layering like she does...it's incredible. This card has a clay pot, feathers, raffia, doo-dads, perfect colors (black, copper, tan, turquoise, terra cotta), perfect placement, perfect balance, her name sticker on the back of the card is even dead center. I hate her. But I LOVE her artwork...thank you Melissa! And from Teresa Durn a beautiful fishy card on light blue cardstock with a coral reef habitat stamp and little fishies everywhere...this is so cute! The background paper is a colorful listing of .... places that have coral reefs?? Did you do this on your computer? I like it a lot. And a laminated pin with a pretty orange flower on it which I have to hide from my daughter...she steals pins. Oh and I bought Donna Joy's extra copy of Cover to Cover by Shereen LaPlantz. We just talked about this yesterday, and it got here before I even got your check written! I can't believe the books in this book. As soon as I get over this feeling of inadequacy, I just might read some instructions instead of just looking at the pictures. Of course if the inadequacy thing never goes away, I can always refer to Jhone's "How to Successfully Slit Your Wrists" handbook. She outlined the outside/inside opening of the frame in black. The neat part is that she then picked out some tiny, tiny real shells and randomly set them on the top of the image and then she poured envirotex all over it. This stuff really looks smooth as glass over the whole thing and the tiny shells are a clever touch. She attached a stiff piece of cardboard to the back of the frame with doublesided tape and left an opening on the side to slide a picture into. Great job Kari, I really deserved this! You guys are saying how great my cards are, this star card you've sent Geevee is fantastic, fabulous! Awesome! I absolutely love the navy darkcoat, it looks so perfect! She used hand carved stars and embossed with clear glitter ep over a gorgeous background of 4 different colors that she sponged on a white glossy paper. Wonderful! I think this is a unique card! That's her background, then she cut a large star out of the same background, put it on a lavendar paper for a lavendar edge, and placed this over a card of this background, with "Shoot for the moon........." in the lower left hand corner, and all this is on a lavendar cardstock for a gorgeous lavendar border! In the top right corner, shooting out of a star is some gold wrapping ribbon, just adds to this card! Fantastic! Fabulous! I can't wait to try this out! Her second card isn't as spectacular, but just as nicely done. A gorgeous moos outline, (no details), which looks to be done the same way as the the star card, I love the colors for the moose, orangish, brownish to greenish at his feet. Really nice. Navy background, and put on a brown/copper paper with deckled edges for a lovely border. The color scheme on both of these cards is very well thought out! VERY VERY nice!
