Any ideas would help! what do you mean, mount them? what are you doing? I've been working on some magnets for a swap.. but I.. don't think I'm mounting them.. rofl! I been stamping the images on cardstock, embossing them, coloring them, cutting them out.. sticking them on business card sized self-adhesive magnets I got at office max, "laminating" the tops with clear package tape, and cutting them out again.. and.. then they're done.. now.. that's as far as I've gotten so far.. but my plan is to ultimately stick them.. perhaps with a dot or two of tack it over and over (or again and again.. whichever it is), in a "tasteful arrangement" on a piece of cardstock or two, for presentation.. unless.. do magnets stick to copper? probably not.. so probably the glue.. maybe rubber cement.. it'll rub off well.. is that what you mean by mounting? maybe I'm not so much making magnets, as fridgie colorforms.. anno This message was from "annette" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I supposed you could glue several layers together to raise the window high enough for bigger shaker-things. I've also heard that people use foam tape around the edges; again, I guess you could use several layers if you needed more room between the window and the back piece. Finally (okay three things): I have had much better luck with foam core using a sharp (new) X-acto knife blade than I did with a utility knife--my first shaker cards looked like I had chewed the opening with my teeth! Like you can glue them to wood, or is is better to laminate them? Or is there ways you can make magnets with out laminating them? For ribbons on rolls she put dowels through them and hung them somewhere. I thought it was neat. Anyway, the whole thing relies on accurate math (not always my strong point!!). If you do the math correctly you will end up with a color that begins with g, an animal that begins with e and a country that begins with d. The exact color, animal and country are up to you but they have to begin with these letters. If you didn't get these letters it means your math is off somewhere. Justine I came up with a brown Jackal from Djibouti (a small country in East > Africa on the Gulf of Aden). I was also a Geography major in college! first time I saw that thing I came up with an brown orang from dominican republic.. but since then, I've always tried to come up with something from djibouti.. but.. since I couldn't spell that, I never did! isn't there a dubai or something too? anno This message was from "anno" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. Here's a description (based on their flier): * 6 x 11 size * comes with its own mailing envelope (for gift-giving) * classy design compliments any stamping style * printed on smooth, uncoated Wausau cream stock for great imprints. They retail for 4.95, I will sell them for 3.95 (20% off retail price). Let me know if you'd be interested (and state quantity). If you buy 2 or more, they will be 3.50 each. I have not seen them, so I am not sure about the weight. I think $1 should cover shipping for the first calendar, and .60 for each additional calendar. I will only order them if there's enough interest, so please let me know soon!! Thanks!
