It is a metal rectangle and it has this extra strip on the left side. YOu slide the cardstock under the strip and but it up against the right raised edge. Then you sciremnusing astylus or empty ball point pen along the strip on the left and voila--perfect, straight score every time. The cost of this item with tax is $10.50. If you can't find one in your area I wll pick one up for you and mail it out. Don't know waht shipping would be but I could get it in a snall manilla envie. It measures 10X5 1/2. All packages should have been mailed by Wednesday, the 17th of Sept. If you did not mail yours, please email me and let me know it will be late so I can let your receiver know. I have had several people contact me saying "I didn't get my package". Remember that if it was mailed on Sept 17th, it may take a week to 10 days to get to you. Please be patient. 2. Please, Please when you receive your package, email the list describing what you received. There is notheing more frustrating than putting time and money into a package for someone and then never hearing whether or not it was received. I might suggest 2 things---1. email the list AND 2. email your sender of you know who she is. Hope everyone had fun with this scavenger hunt. Ask them if it is their policy to use misleading ads--advertising a sale & leaving the shelves empty. There are numerous laws regarding this type of business practice and, since Michael's has many branches all over the US and Canada, both local & federal authorities might be contacted. Consumers have well-established rights. Their information is: Michaels Stores, Inc. P.O. Box 619566, DFW, TX 75261-9566 Home office: 972-409-1300. BTW, I got this information from their website, which is located at http://www.michaels.com/main/mic-main.html. Regards . . . Karen In a message dated 97-09-19 01:44:04 EDT, you write: << Boy, do I ever know what you mean!! I was in Micheal's yesterday and it's really bare in there. I was given a 40% off coupon that expired yesterday and I used that to get a $20 Fiskars rotary cutter with 3 blades included, I won't be able to get there for the special sale times so I asked if they were going to be stocking more before the sale. I figured that if they would re-stock I would re-arrange somethings so I could go. The girl who is in charge if shipping and receiving said that they have huge numbers of boxes in the store room, she gets 45 (average) boxes each day. It takes her all day to check them in and she has no time and no help to put the stock out on the shelves!! She told me that a couple of items I would have gotten with my coupons weren't even in the store room so I got them at full price. I asked to speak to the manager and I told him that I thought it was rediculous that other employees were standing around doing nothing when they could have been \re-stocking the store to get ready for the sale. His answer was vague and meant to pacify my. I let him know that I "talk" to stampers all across the country and that I believe that it is a company policy to do this since everyone complains of this same thing every time they have this sale. He basically had no answer for me. Jerk. >> This message was from KazWaz@aol.com - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I got the results back from my second ever swap - the Quickie Swap! Wow, you're quick, Jaimee!!!!! This is what I got, in case you're interested: SHIRLEY SPENCER: A Mary Engelbreit design of a girl getting mail from her mailbox. It's embossed in white on a brown bookmark with a yellow/ivory ribbon. Cute! RSTMPHOLIC: On off-white confetti paper (?) a cute angel holding a string of hearts. I like the way you colored her in! Got some good coloring techniques even though it's just a "quickie" card! (I am a newbie, you know):) Hee hee) NO NAME: 3 Daffodils in a pot. How on earth was this thing colored??? It looks like it was just printed on! Wow! I'd like to know what you did, whoever you are! This was a good card to get too because on the inside it says "Hope you're feeling better" - I've caught that bug that's been going around here and so this was so nice to see! StamprSue: rows of teacups fill the card front. They're stamped on a rainbow pad (?). Then on a small piece of moss green cardstock is layered a matching teapot also stamped on that rainbow pad on cardstock the same color as the card itself. I like this card! What stamp pad did you use? Also, what stamps are those? I love tea! And last, but certainly not least: JHONE M_D: Wow! This is the second card I've gotten from Jhone in as many swaps - you really know how to put it together! 2 pieces of torn paper - 1 beige-colored with plant fibers (?I dunno!) and a terracotta-colored piece with different colored threads mixed in serve as the background on a beige card. On top of this is a square of map wrapping paper (?) cut using those cool scissors (fiskars? don't know what design, but I think it's the one I have!), and on top of that is a gold outlined darker beige cardstock piece with an Australian postage stamp. This is really nice Jhone! Thanks, Jaimee for hosting this swap! I loved this Quickie swap! Nisa/Teapot - ------------------------------------------- *Nisa*: What?! $15.00 for dinner? I could have bought at least 3 rubberstamps with that money! *Eric*: Nisa, you can't eat rubberstamps! You can chew 'em, but you can't eat 'em! - ------------------------------------------- This message was from Teapot - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
