I needed to reinforce them with premade envys from my stock. This took some time to do it carefully so I didn't rip the ones I had made. As a result of this, I sent them off on Thursday morning. I do hope you'll all agree the wait is worth it, the envys are really approprate for this swap, IMHO. I have heard that one gal who played in the swap did receive her cards on Friday so I hope you'll all be getting them in your mailbox on Monday or Tuesday. Please let me know when you receive them. I hope you'll all post to the list a description of what you've received. Lori, I'm still waiting for your envelope to arrive, hope to see it Monday. I have been recently having some wierd symptoms...BIG ones, like backing out 2 times in 2 days, high blood pressure, rapid heart rate, heart pounding. I had to be taken to the ER today, EKG shows a glitch that could be there just because of the way the 'leads' were hooked up, or because my heart was working too hard. We were there for about 3 hours and my BP and pulse went down, but not to normal. I have to call the Dr tomorrow ans see him on Tues or Wed, when the last of the blood test results are in. Right now, I am trying to relax and not worry. So what if I have to take blood pressure medication...What's 1 more pill?? I am still not feeling right...heart is pounding at a normal rate, but hard...I can feel it in my throat and my face and hands are tingling. I am going to go have a sandwich and watch TV. And flaming everyone else that has the *nerve* to inquire about the status of orders. And yet we're supposed to keep quiet about people that do this sort of thing again and again with all sorts of excuses, just because for some people their service has been good? I don't think so! I had the same experience as you Mona, though I did get my order after several months of no responses to my communications, and then lots of contradictory excuses. This seems to be an iffy vendor. Some folks get great service, others, like you and me and several others I know get lousy. So folks, you takes your chances. I know I'm going to get flamed for this. My asbestos suit is on and I really don't care, because there are enough new folks on this list who haven't had the benefit of knowing who there have been problems with and I don't think they should be left uninformed without knowing the track record. Its not fair to them to keep stuff like this secret. Everyone else I've ordered from, the order was there in a matter of weeks or they notified me why not. Or if there was a problem, it was resolved, and in a timely and very satisfactory fashion. Really cute!! #3 - unknown - party invitation with a castle/dragon scene stamped in rainbow colors. Really pretty card. #4 - Ryan ? - pink card with toy story characters stamped about!! Amanda really likes this movie. #5 - Steven ? - white card that was airbrushed?? around a burst-type stencil. In the middle is a cute little dalmation puppy that is mounted with a small spring so it kind of pops off the card!! Really cute - we used to have a dalmation too!! #6 - Keisha Williams - A denim pocket mounted on white cardstock with a cute little stamped fairy sticker inside the top of the pocket!! Really clever card!! Along with the cards, Lisa/Kristin enclosed some really cute sunflower stickers and some Looney Tunes confetti (which Amanda just absolutely loved as these are her absolute favorite characters). Your iron is very safe to use on your rubber. The rubber was put in a volcanizer at about 2000 degrees. The same method is used to form the treds on your tires. If you have an iron that gets that hot you had better get it fixed. Velvet..... I have done some nice pieces. Put your rubber stamp on a table , rubber side up..... Spritz your velvet with water.... Place it nap side down on your rubber stamp.... Place your hot iron ( wool setting ) on the velvet .... Hold it there and count to 40...... Be sure there are no steam holes where your pattern is. Last night I received a voice call from Victoria Flaherty in Maine. It was really wonderful to chat to her "in person" -- she's a very outgoing, fun and interesting Gal. Those of you who are fortunate enough to be able to attend her all-night stamping party this coming weekend are in for a treat -- I am sure she will be a very gracious hostess. Wish I could join, but it'll be geographically prohibitive at this time. :( Have fun -- take lots of pics!
