As a matter of fact, you can get a drink of Grand Marnier at most fine restaurants if you insist to the waitress that she ask for it. Most of the time you have to get up and talk to the bartender yourself. They always have it, but they use it to make mixed drinks. It runs about 7.50 per snifter. You can also get it on an airplane from the hostess in those itty bitty bottles. The stuff in the 450.00 bottle is something else (ask Shannon). Home schoolers - these also make great tools for your children when you are teaching them numbers, dates, etc. And they can enjoy stamping them as well. ^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^ Patti's Stamping Calendar - 1998 and ArtiStamps too Update 9-13-97 If you would like to get a head start on your 1998 Christmas stamping take notice! (other years can be made available on request). Lots of these are already in list members hands, and everyone seems to love them. While planning Christmas gifts for friends and family, I designed a really nice 1998 stamping calendar on my computer. It has plenty of space to stamp on every month's page. It contains 12 pages - 1 for each month - each is 5.5" x 8.5" (portrait orientation) and a blank cover (front and back) page containing only the year (1998) on the front. The calendar grids cover only the bottom half of the pages, leaving the top of every page blank for stamping and binding. You can make some pretty nifty stamping creations on that part (14 pages for stamping - not counting the backs of the pages). I've typeset all dates and added all the holidays that I could find (some quite remote). I even found Mother-In-Law Day . Stampers think this is a good idea and many are getting several of the stamping calendars. They also make great SSS gifts - you can stamp them and make them very personal or send them blank for your SSS to stamp her own. Thanks to the initial encouragement of the rubber stampers on the RS list, I am offering these calendars for sale. I am also offering them via an ad on my web page. If you look there, you will get an idea of what it looks like. The calendar is made on versatile, smooth Wausau vellum bristol. white, matte heavy coverstock which stamps beautifully both for embossing or not, pigments or dye inks, coloring with markers, pencils or watercolor, however, on request, you can have it on King James Silhouette Cast Coat glossy cardstock , instead at the same price. You'd want to have these pretty soon so you can start work on them in plenty of time for the new year. The default, if not specified, is comb bound on matte stock. If you prefer glossy finish or unbound, please specify when you order. So, I've also been working on some more great artistamps. So far I only have: "Leo" (Lions) "Celebrating Women" "Art - As You Like It" "Ayre Mail" (Birds) but lots more are in the works. These are in color, on sticker paper. They come in blocks of 6 different ArtiStamps per set and will cost $1.00 per set (postage included). You can see my ArtiStamps on my web page too. Just thought I would give everyone a reason to come to CA and see me...my undying charm is enough in itself, but this may persuade a bit more!! I live 20 minutes from the Hershey factory!!! They have a visitors center where you go for a tour...they take you by shuttle bus to the factory...you get to go on a tour of the factory...see the HUGE vats of chocolate..and the smell...OH MY!!! The visitor's center sells all kinds of Hershey's stuff....candy bars are 5 for $1!! I always stock up on the nasty dark chocolate things for my hubby when we go!! There is also a stamp store in that little town (Oakdale..cowboy capital of the world)...a fairly good size store. Mostly Animals, the company, is also located in Oakdale, so this store carries ALL the MA stamps...yes, I get in big trouble each time I step my foot in the door. Now, if that is not enough to entice you, we also have the Oakdale Rodeo in late April...if you are into cowboys/girls, this is THE place to be....Wrangler butts galore!! So...let me know when you are coming so I can knock down the cobwebs and vacuum!!
