I saw both the east and west coast versions (I have satellite tv) What I thought were screw ups in the first one were actually 'planned' screw ups in the story line as they were done again in the west coast version. There were a few differences tho..that part was interesting to see. I enjoyed it and thought it was pretty unique. Even though it was a "gimmicky" episode, they did a reasonable job of getting back to and moving along some of the major plotlines (Carter's position, Greene's continuing problems, warmth between Ross & Hathaway, etc.). Parts that would have seemed okay on tape (the argument between the husband and wife about teh dog, the exchange with the crack-addicted woman in the same scene) seemed "stagy" and unreal with the hyper-real "look"....interesting. I couldn't figure out how they got the baby to cry on cue... So, Michele, I was very curious about west coast vs. east coast version, can you tell me about the differences you noticed? (long) Maggies Sept SS Pkg is here! (very long) My wonderful S S Sis has done it again. I just recd a wonderful box - packed in purple crinkle shredded paper - which Molly, my cat, thought made just wonderful purple spaghetti as she hung around and chomped on a couple of strands as I unwrapped each tissue wrapped goody - First off the most wonderful - to a confirmed chocoholic - those delicious little Dove miniatures, squares of milk chocolate. I just discovered they each have a little message on the inside of each wrapper. Hummm.... more possibilities for the Friendship though of the day, maybe? A package of Aroma Therapy Bath Treatment - Citrus Dream - I am taking this on vacation - a mental health break compliments of my cousin and her condo on the coast (just she and I, no hubbys, for a week) can not tell you where - I may be mailing an SSS pkg from there. A wonderful little sachet envelope in one of the only scents that I like - Vanilla - thanks, most florals make me sneeze! A bunch of Mrs. Grossmans stickers all the oneUs that I like and will definitely put to use for Christmas. Speaking of Christmas -- I got Art Institutes Christmas collection of glitter and a bottle of clear adhesive - I saw this at the Boston/Marlboro convention and was tempted, so thank you for reading my mind. A wonderful (thereUs that word again for the umpteenth time) large snowy, evening woodland stamp from Northwoods Rubber Stamps, Inc. I have been seeing this company mentioned frequently on the list lately, but I have never seen their stamps before. This one is beautiful. I am all ready planning a Christmas card using it! Thank you. In an interesting triangular box were packed 5 pkgs of assorted confettis - three christmas ones, 1 generic confetti strips, and one garden variety - no seriously - garden utensils, watering can, flower pots, flowers, bees and butterflies! A lg ziplock bag with almost 20 sheets of beautiful papers - a gray marbelized cardstock weight, a marbelized white on white that is gorgeous, a mini corrugated, kind of brassy in color, and two beigge colored papers with gold painted brushstrokes on some and stripes on the others. Thank you - I am a true novice with paper and not too discriminating when I have to shop for paper for myself - this is truly a treat. If there is a better way to describe these papers, my SS will have to let me know. Three envelop templates in sizes I do not have. At least I think the third one is an envelope. It has paired cut/fold lines. Is this something different? And last but not least a curious little stamp - Wood grain stamp - the stamps die is fastened on a curved surface of a wood block with directions to - tilt this top (flat side of wood) away from you, roll slowly as you pull and drag the stamp toward you. It is made by Graphic R/S Co. in North Hollywood. I can not wait to play with this - what an interesting idea. Also I must not forget the pkg of images that came via Ruthann from her image swaps and from my SS which I have previously acknowledged on the list. Thank you SS, you are making this swap all that I hoped it would be after a previous disappointment. You are really - wonderful ! ! ! "Come see!" he said, with sparkling eyes, "the pretty colors in the sky." "Oh, that's just a rainbow, Jeff," I said, "I'll come and look," but then instead, Before I could unwind, relax, I started wiping up his tracks. They were just little feet, and yet, he'd left a trail there, soaking wet. I wiped it up as I could see my Jeffrey wait, impatiently. Just then the phone--it always rings, when I'm involved in special things. "My recipe? Sure--just a minute; yes, it does have Swiss cheese in it." How flattering! I hardly knew her-- I had to stop and give it to her. I hung up the phone, and looked around, and said to Jeff, "What have you found?" I took his hand--we went outside. He pointed up, with childish pride. I saw his disappearing smile, (I'd only been a little while) "It was right there not long ago; what happened to my bright rainbow?" I held him close, and as he cried, I wept myself, deep down inside. All afternoon I realized I missed something that Jeff had prized. And then that night, my little son knelt at my feet, when day was done, And asked the Lord, his heart in tune, "Dear God, please send a rainbow soon, Because my mommy didn't see the rainbow that you made for me. Please send another; make her smile, and play with me for just a while." HAND PRINTS ON THE WALL One day as I was picking the toys up off the floor, I noticed a small hand print on the wall beside the door. I knew that is was something that I'd seen most every day, But this time when I saw it there, I wanted it to stay. Then tears welled up inside my eyes, I knew it wouldn't last For every mother knows her children grow up too fast. Just then I put my chores aside and held my children tight, I sang to them sweet lullabies and rocked into the night. Sometimes we take for granted, all those things that seem so small, Like one of God's great treasures . . A SMALL HAND PRINT ON THE WALL! Well, I'm very sorry, I am new to the net, and actually I have only had a computer for a week or so. My address book does not seem to be working properly and/or I am doing something wrong. I signed onto several mailing lists this week as I have many interests. I suppose I made some mistakes and sent unrelated posts to this list. I did not mean to offend anybody and I never thought I would be accused of being a stalker. I will probably unsub from this list. Of course, my name is not Libby Pineapple, I just thought it was cute because I am pregnant and I eat a lot of canned fruit ! I live in Georgia and my real name is Cindy Taylor. Again, I meant no harm, and I can see I have upset some of you, so I will leave. Point your web browser at http://crafts.dm.net/ . There are several extremely helpful books on this subject. Just happens to be one of my favorite. I have taught classes on this subject in the local churches for over 15 years. Lots of people use the same tests that are in these books before they hire to see which job fits which person the best. Anyway, my daughter, is currently teaching a seminar to the employees at the nursing home where she works, so they can better help the different temperments adjust, so she has all my books. But the author's name is Florence Littauer and she has written about 5 or 6 books on the subject. Tim and Beverly LaHaye also have several books. I can just about guarantee that they will change your life. You will understand yourself much better, and understand others. The studies are based on personality types from Hippocrates. Most of us are a blend of two temperments, never just one. Your analytical friend is Melancholic, if you seem to have a problem with hurting other people's feelings and being blunt, you are like my DH, you are choleric. But anyway, nobody can completely change, they just learn to interact better with the other personalities. And when you better understand yourself, you can forsee where you might have potential problems with others. It is such fun to read, regardless. I have never had anyone quite the class or say that they didn't learn something that they could start using immediately. And, if you have children that just don't seem to fit into your family, you will learn why not. It's a great study, I recommend it highly, and I don't even get paid to do these classes, I just love the results. Let me know if you can't find any of the books by these two authors, and I will help you.
