I just played with a new technique for me to improve on the "stained" look but fitting into a card is difficult to get it just right. I wish the stained glass stamp I have was even sided but it isn't. Maybe I'll have to look for one that is it would be easier to cut out the shape to fit. I left the project unfinished for now. Hope to finish tomorrow. I wanted to mail out to that swap this weekend. Also curious about how others do this. Violetnut Christine L. Well, so far many of you seem to have forgiven me for the problems I'm having with my mail....which were probably because I'm still learning how to do email and how mailing lists work. I don't blame any of you who still think I'm strange....I would probably think the same thing. I am pretty new to collecting different rubber stamps, it has been a very casual interest , but I thought that I would try this list out to see what I could learn about it. I also collect dolls, am an afficianado of nighttime soaps, and have pet iguanas. I am married, have 3 children, and am expecting #4 in about 4 weeks. Thanks to all who wrote and persuaded me to stick around. I promise I will learn this email stuff and will try not to send you any more strange reading material. I will try to answer some of the individual messages I've recieved, but there are quite a few.....please be patient with me. How wonderful to receive your beautiful card, Susan, thank you so much. Susan has used maroon card stock onto which she has stamped, "A friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart" in an elaborate typeface. She has placed a floral-and-scroll corner stamp in each corner and separately stamped, embossed and colored a yellow rose with green leaves and pasted that along the bottom edge. This was then layered onto black cardstock that had a sort of corduroy effect--the corners of this piece were rounded and two different size hearts puches were used to make five holes in each corner. She wrote "Karen, You've been RAKed!," in silver ink on the back. But the most subtle thing was a phrase stamped in either clear or black in on the back that said, "When you care enough you make it yourself." Susan, I don't know what made you choose me to receive your beautiful handiwork, but it has found a home where it will be cherished. Thanks again . . .
