I also understand that there are some terrific and fullfilling vendors on this list. Being from the outside looking in (new) I can't help but wonder if some of the bad vendors are getting overwehlmed with orders, and not telling the list members that these are first time orders, and the merchandise will not actually be ordered until all monies are recieved. In turn this would create a problem with the amount of time it takes to get the order, because you are dealing with a ship time of 4-6 weeks from the BIG company, and another 2-4 weeks, once recieved by the LITTLE vendor on the list. Another problem seems to be that maybe the prices they are offering are not necessarily in thier best interest, and with minimum orders they are at a loss, and unable to fill all the orders. I hate to see all these people that share a great common iterest not communicating. There are guidelines that business's need to follow. I believe that it is up to the vendor to take the responsiblity of knowing what they are getting into. It doesn't hurt to ask questions of those great vendors who have been very successful, and have an established reputation. Maybe I'm crazy, but isn't it better not start a business at all, then to start one, and destroy your reputation, and that of any future contacts and "list friends". I am not putting anyone down, just trying to understand the philosophy behind this kind of business ediquette, and maybe an outside view of what types of problems these "bad" vendors are having. I had planned on this trip for the past two weeks and it is breaking my heart that he left the day before I could get there. I will be in Ohio for two weeks and then I will return to NH where the grant has been approved and the sound wave machine once again will be used for the tumors. I will also start a new series of chemotherapy since the count has been elevating in the past couple of months. I'm no longer afraid of this new series as I now know that I have a very special Guardian Angel that will keep me safe. My Uncle George was one of the biggest inspirations in my life and he taught me how to face the unknown with dignity and humor. I will miss him beyond words but I'm also grateful that such a treasure of a human being was a part of my life for so long. I appreciate all your cards and your letters and even though I won't be near a computer for the next two weeks, all of you will always be a part of my life and in my heart! giggles to you always! Had to drive an hour but it was worth it. Lots of fun. Great doing something with others instead of being all alone. On the finished edges, have you tried taking the side of your embossing pen and running it along the cut edge or keeping the pen straight out and running the edge around the side of the tip. Then dip it in embossing powder. I do this to gild the edge of the cards and it works pretty good. Just enough powder on there to finish the edge but not heavy. Hope this helps Hugs, Connieolivetree@skow-acc.com Hi Marcia:)) - ---------- > From: violet@javanet.com > To: Olivetree > Subject: RS: Re:Technique Stained Glass > Date: Friday, September 26, 1997 9:02 PM > > HI > > I'm really curious about this too!
