I'm looking forward to receiving my Monument Gallery that has been backordered. She also included a sample recipe tag and some colorful gift tags to stamp on. Very nice! I'm also blown away by the service from Inky Antics. I e-mailed on Sunday and had my Buckyville grab bag on THURS! WOW! I had the same problem - with both pigment and dye ink - so I sprayed some with Krylon spray. Some I did wipe off and used the PearlEx powder to brush on and buffed off. Some I used RubOns and buffed them. I just takes trial and error I guess. He sits down, orders a huge beer, chugs it, walks over to the window, and jumps out. Five minutes later, the guy walks into the bar again, orders another huge beer, chugs it, walks over to the window, and jumps out again. Five minutes later, he re-appears and repeats the whole thing. About half an hour later, another guy at the bar stops the first guy and says, "hey, how the heck are you doing that?!" The first guy responds, "oh, it's really simple physics. When you chug the beer, it makes you all warm inside and since warm air rises, if you just hold your breath you become lighter than air and float down to the sidewalk." "WOW!" exclaims the second man, "I gotta try that!" So he orders a huge beer, chugs it, goes over to the window, jumps out, and splats on the sidewalk below. The bartender looks over to the first man and says, "Superman, you're such an asshole when you're drunk." I have received 2 cards for this group. The last one was a darling little gumball machine with teeny tiny gumballs inside. (Shaker or water card). Latisha Johnston seems to have fallen off the face of the earth but because some are still honoring this swap I will be sending out my cards today to my group, albeit late. The people in my group are Punkie Bagdon, Terry Bradbury, Roz Finnegan and Kimmy Jungman. I apologize for not sending them on the 20th but wanted you to know that they are being mailed today. I BETTER go. I have been working on the pins for the past month! My theme for my pins this time is "Stamp Convention Survival Kit" (yes, it does involve chocolate). I'm making 150 of them. Are the list stampers going to be meeting anywhere special this time? I also have another "goodie" that I am making just for the listees at the convention. What vendors from the list will be attending? I want to be sure to bring enough for you too! I know that things get lost in the mail on occasion, but I would really like to see just how many people are getting that story!! I figure that 9 mailing days is ample time for a package to get anywhere...I get stuff from Europe in a week or less. I am sure I will be "chastised" again..the old "tis better to give than receive" thing..but I am kind of ticked about this!! We all went into the scavenger hunt with the intention of both sending AND receiving a package. It is a dissapointment to not receive, and I think it is VERY tacky of those that didn't send for whatever reason. The responsibility is then given to the hostess...and that is not at all fair!! I was sent a note by yet another anonymous account..saying that Barb should take responsibility as the hostess and send out packages to all those who didn't get one...PUH-LEEZE!!!!!! Since this note came from a "hider", I am gonna have to assume that you yourself are a flake!!!! Wow...someone is feeling their oats this morning!! :) Just felt the need to vent a bit. All the stories about the SSS stuff and now this...I just wish that people would be considerate enough to know when they can not participate...and then let everyone else know that!!! The hostesses understand if someone needs to back out for some reason...isn't that better than letting someone wait around for you?? Jaimee..who is going to shut her big trap for the moment!!!
