Bear is feeling alot better today than he was a couple of days ago. I'm having to keep him indoors all the time since the nights are too cold and when I try to let him out for about an hour during the day he plays & hurts himself again. I have been able to start cutting back on the baby aspirin. He only has one at night when I shut him in the back patio for the night. His appetite is back to normal and he is trying to play in the house abit more. Mainly tossing his stuffed teddy bear into the air and catching it. Thanks again for all the suggestions. I felt like a nervous Momma when he hurt himself. I was raised in farming country with animals to tend after and have had dogs all my like. But this was the first time I have ever had to deal with a pulled muscle. I realize that to some it may be strange to get so attached to a dog. But Bear was a birthday gift from my neighbors (who own Bear's parents) and my Hubby when I had to have my 12 yr. old Lab put to sleep because of Cancer. (She had 2 very large tumors and about a month left to live). It was too painful for the Lab and seemed cruel to me to allow her to suffer just so I could have more time with her. Anyways, Bear has been a nearly constant companion ever since the day I got him. Jhone - You are such a sweetie! I love you! You couldn't beleive the timing you had! I worked so hard this entire weekend and got absolutely no where! I was overwhelemed this entire weekend. I had just gotten out of the shower around 4 or so on Sat. afternoon when the doorbell rang and it was my postman with a package. That is the first package I've been home to receive and didn't have to go pick up at the PO the next day! I felt like it was Christmas! Inside she sent me a white comotion embossing gun! Wow! Now I was able to do the blending with my new Tombows I had ordered from Tonya. I wasn't sucessful using the iron for embossing on thicker paper. She also included some things for making pins and some clear EP. Then there were ten postage stamps and some scored cards and envelopes. Wow! You wouldn't beleive what a godsend that was. I managed to stay disciplined enough to work until 10:30pm then I talked to Eric on the phone for an hour and he convinced me I deserved som RS time so I stamped until 1:30 am and had a blast. Even my first blended image was useable! I loved it. It gives such a new dimension to stamping. The worst thing is that I can't remember when the last time I had stamped was! That always happens when school starts. Jhone I don't know how you knew to send me the package this weekend, but you couldn't have timed it any better! I was RAK'd by Susan aka Coffee Stamper! Yay! A gold- embossed image of a porcupine flirting with a cactus was stamped on burgundy card-stock which was then layaered on a card of white cardstock. She had cut the corners of the burgundy paper with something cool. Thanks, Susan! Nisa/Teapot - ------------------------------------------- *Nisa*: What?! $15.00 for dinner? I was absolutely floored when I opened your package this weekend. I can't believe that you got me the Tria airbrush marker set (or whatever it is officially called)! I ran out to get some canned air as soon as I possibly could. I only had a little time to play as I had a ton of reading to do for class this afternoon. It's awesome. You're awesome. Funny, for some reason I opened that last! I really like the Stampscapes oak tree - they're one of my favorite trees. The stylus was the perfect size - I tried it out right away. Ack - I'm late for class to be continued ... Kathy This message was from Kathy McDonald - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I think the plot device of a documentary was a good choice, having the show take place in real time as it were . An hour long drama is usually filmed over the course of two or three days using several set locations (the diner, the train station, the OR...) This would have been difficult to do in a live setting. How could the actors and crew have run around, with costume changes, etc? The fact that it was going to be "A Day in the Life" story was announced several times so it shouldn't have been a surprise to the viewers. I think people were disappointed because it did go off without any major problems. No one fell, Clooney didn't pull a prank, major dialouge problems avoided, no fits of spontaneous laughte. The cast and crew prepared for over a month for this show - and performed twice in three hours! They deserve a lot of praise and congratulations. Stepping off the soap box.
