I took my ideas from here and applied them to the Mastiff list I am on. We have a huge lunk of a Mastiff and I am on the listserve to learn about them. A few pg months ago I submitted the idea to them that they could send me photos etc. and I would make a round robin where everyone mails the album one person to the next. Well, it was months of work and expense. I bent the deadline rules a few time - once a lovely couple had me wait for their wedding photos that indcluded their dogs. So finally I mailed off the album, turned away some folks who were just WAY too late. It has only gone to 3 of the 25 participants and I feel like people are kinda cutting me out by not posting to me when they get and send it. And,not paying heed to the few but necessary rules, they are adding people to it. I am concerned about the folks in Dngland, New Zealand and Australia who did get their stuff in and who are going to have to wait longer for their turn... The first person I mailed it to gave it to someone not on the list of participants who kept it twice as long as each of us are supposed to and then finally mailed it to person #2 on the RR. This uninvolved party went way out of her way to copy it and sent me a lovely copy (copying copy righted show photos etc..btw,) This was done mostly to appease me I believe. So____should I be glad that I have a copy even if the original never comes home_____or should I keep trying to police the original, which , btw, I was going to donate or Whatever the group thought when I got it back. I am aggravated and not sure whether I should bother myself being the controller or let go and enjoy my copy?????? TIA< Is pregancy the same as PMS???? I have a door mail slot with a Longaberger=20 basket under it that catches my mail and on the very top was a pretty=20 fall decorated envelope...addressed to me. This is my second RAK and I=20 was so excited! Judy made a really cute fall card on red cardstock layered with a creamy=20 yellow paper stamped with fall follage. Then (this is such a cute idea)=20 she used a fall themed material and cut out a scarecrow and leaf and=20 layered them on top of the card. So cute. Inside was a=20 "jack-o-lantern" magnet lamenated and mounted on a black lamenated=20 square. =20 Not only do I love this card and magnet, but my 9-yr-old son noticed it=20 as soon as he came home from school. He has picked the card up at least=20 a half dozen times to look at it and when he went to get his=20 "after-school-snack" he discovered the magnet, picked it up and got a=20 huge smile on his face. I'm still looking for ideas for non-stupid games, prizes and favors. I realize that my idea of non-stupid may match up to someone else's idea of moronic...oh well. Betsy Ritter suggested passing around a memory book and letting everyone write down their thoughts, ideas, parenting tips, etc. I think I'll do this in place of a guest book. I liked Tupperstamper's idea of freezing tiny plastic babies in ice cubes, putting one cube in everyone's drink and the first one whose baby is born from it's icy womb wins a prize. I guess I'd have to stipulate that they can't induce labor by sucking on the ice cube. Someone (sorry, can't remember who) else suggested putting numbers on the bottom of everyone's plate then drawing a number for a prize. I like that one too. If anyone has any ideas for prizes and favors, I need some help there. I don't mind making them or I can buy something...either way. Bottles of Tylenol might be nice. I'm beginning to think people like me shouldn't be involved with showers of any kind. Thanks! Isn't that a marvelous stamp? Years ago, when I was known as Dragon-Love on GEnie, one of our fellow stampers offered it to me in an um exchange. I snapped it up. She had no idea where it came from either. I keep on the lookout tho and if I ever find out I'll let you know. >From the look of it and the caption below, I suspect it was meant to ilustrate a story. I did different color skies and gowns and dragons - boring to do the same over and over and I wanted to give the impression that it was not Earthly, thus weird colored skies. --`--,--{@ Patti in Fort Myers, FL @}--`--,-- ~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~ Computers are life. There is no frame, just the dragon carrying the maiden. Above the Mark, another company, has the original version which is in the frame. Sorry, I don't have info on these companies handy (all packed up!) Hope this helps! Joan of Art (who has the Stamp Camp version!)
