Today's mail brought cards from Carol Roop for the Christian Theme Swap. These are great....very festive. Are you doing this idea for your personal Christmas cards? Carol took green cardstock and cut 3 sides with deckle scissors, a layer of colorful foil(?) then stamped and embossed 3 angels holding hymn books. The top of the card has 2 holes punched and shiny gold ribbon tied in a bow. Inside the card she stamped in gold Psalms 91:11. I have a very lovable mutt named "Maxwell." Missy calls him Maxie Boy One day while perusing the local newspaper we came across his adorable picture in the paper. He was "Pet of the Week." My son Mark and I hurried down to the Humane Society to claim him. We wanted him so bad! I'll never forget the day. It was so funny, because there were a few people in front of us and Mark and I were so sure that they were there to get our "Maxwell." Remember how it was when you were a little kid and you wanted somethin' so bad that you're stomach hurt over wanting it so much? Yep, that's how it was. I LOVE cute things ... and baby ink pads definitely qualify. :) The mulberry paper, flocking, embossing powder, and Emboss pen will come in handy as I start working on Halloween and Christmas cards. Well my son was born a year to the day, that Sugar and Bear were born. A funny story: when we brought Bryan home from the hospital, we introduced Blue, Sugar and Bear to him and told each one of them that he was the baby and they needed to protect him. Blue tried to keep Sugar away from him. But Sugar would stand over him on the couch barking and growling when his grandmother would come down to visit and wanted to play with him. No wonder my mother-in-law keeps telling us we need to get rid of our dogs. We were so relieved and excited when we got up to the counter and found that he was still available. He's the best dog I've ever known. Now all I will be concerned with is finding the very best container to store them in ... probably some kind of cassette-holder, as Deni has suggested! Thanx again, Phil.
