Judy sent me a really cute magnet with a pumpkin face on it and a beautiful card on rust colored cardstock. She has topped this with a cream colored cardstock stamped with numerous leaves in yellow/orange/red, and on top of this has glued material pieces..one is a stitched heart, one three ears of corn with a bow around them and the largest a huge basked of gourds, pumpkins, corn and sunflowers. On the inside of the card is stamped "To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe." Thank you so much Judy! Some are a bring your project and work on it, others will have instructors. Some of the things we are going to learn/work on are: fabric stamping, stamping on boxes, pergamano. Before this our club was rather unstructured so we'll see how this works. Some things that won't change is the sharing of swaps we've received, convention reports, new products we've bought or whatever. Hope this is helpful for you. Dear SS (and for all others reading this, eat your hearts out!): Thank you so much for this month's package!!! It is just what I needed. I was beginning to run out of cardstock, and boy....this envelope was stuffed to the brim with wonderful, rich colors and textures! So many colors...Christmas red, dark brown, black with ribbed texture, cadet blue, rich navy, leather-look black, hunter green, beige and gray parchment look, hot pink, mauve, eggplant....gosh, I'm just drooling! Also in the package was a bottle of Pentel Roll 'n Glue, which I've never used, but I am also almost out of my glue pens, so again it will come in handy. You really chose some great things for me this month! I am short on funds and this will help me fuel my addiction for a while longer...LOL! Another thing in the package was this really cool kit called "Design presses". This particular set is of teacups...I don't know how to describe it really...it's like a foam rubber stamp. It comes with a set of paints, and I just can't wait to try it out! It is really neat and my description doesn't do it justice. Last, but not least, was a bottle of birthday cake confetti! I was so bogged down today with responsibilities, and when I went to the mail, you made my day. I got a new DOTS catalog - YEAH!!!!! I love it. There was also the new Stampers' Sampler with some wonderful Christmas ideas in it. There was the most beautiful bag of charms and buttons for card embellishments. Two whole sheets of return address labels made just for me and hand stamped by my SS. These are just simply great. I love them. There was the most beautiful white paper bag that was imprinted with dusty rose, mauve and soft grey flowers and dusty green leaves. What a beautiful bag, I have never seen one like it. would make wonderful background paper, but I think I'll have to keep it. Then there was the sweetest snowman stamp I have ever seen. I love it. I would call it Country cute. I do not have any stamps from this company - Darcies Country Folk. The very very best was the hand made card made just for me. It is absolutely beautiful. The background is either sponged or airbrushed, I don't know which in purple and blue and teal. Then along the side are four scribble hearts stamped in the same colors. The hearts have been cut around and on the inside is a wide border of purple. Inside my SS says she is going to a DOTS party and she would get me something I would pick out of the catalog. I don't want to be greedy, but I really, really like the Big Star Santa on page 146. I hope that isn't asking too much. He is soooooo cute. Well I actually like everything in the whole catalog, so anything you would pick out would be just perfect. It is very hard to choose. Thanks you so much again. This one is important. No comedy here. It's about a seven year old girl with cancer. Read it and pass it on to as many people that you can. Occasionally we get to use this medium for some actual good, rather than trading barbs across the waves. And once in a while things like this bring us back to reality, allowing us to count ourselves lucky in life. Let's put our network to work here! It will only take you a second to send this message. *************************************************************** Jessica Mydek is seven years old and is suffering from an acute and very rare case of cerebral carcinoma. This condition causes severe malignant brain tumors and is a terminal illness. The doctors have given her six months to live. As part of her dying wish, she wanted to start a chain letter to inform people of this condition and to send people the message to live life to the fullest and enjoy every moment, a chance that she will never have. Furthermore, the American Cancer Society and several corporate sponsors have agreed to donate three cents toward continuing cancer research for every new person that gets forwarded this message. Please give Jessica and all cancer victims a chance. Add acs@aol.com to the list of people that you send this to so that the American cancer society will be able to calculate how many people have gotten this. If there are any QUESTIONS, SEND THEM TO : THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY AT ACS@AOL.COM Three cents for every person that receives this letter turns out to be a lot of money considering how many people will get this letter and how many people they, in turn, pass it on to. Please go ahead and forward it to whoever you know- it really doesn't take much to help out. ************************** Jean Ann Linney, Ph.D. Professor and Department Chair Department of Psychology University of South Carolina Columbia, SC 29208 Phone: 803-777-4301 Fax: 803-777-9558 **************************** - --=_26733690.ED8CD3ED-- - --=_26733690.EC8DD2EC-- This message was from "Beverly Blacow" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
