I loved everything. I only have one color of glitter, so the gold glitter is much appreciated. I also loved the embossing powder. What a neat color!! Can't wait to try it out. I enjoyed your "never ending" card--is that what you call it? I have only seen square cards like this so seeing a six sided card was really neat. The only thing is it took me about half an hour to figure out how to switch the image. I know, a little slow on the draw, but I got it!! You included so many extras that it really made my day--tons of stickers, lots of sunflower stuff (all very cute), cute witch and pumpkin stamp, I loved the Halloween candy!! I have one questions for you, I recognized a lot of your papers and stamps--are you a SU! demonstrator? I am! Don't worry, I don't have any of the sets that you used or any of the papers that you used, so you didn't send me duplicates. Man, there was so much stuff crammed into that stuff that I know I'm leaving so much stuff out. Your recipe sounds absolutely delicious. I loved the ribbon--how could I forget about that? You did a great job on the scavenger hunt. Thanks again for everything--especially the extras that you didn't have to send!! Then I put the printout into my "portfolio" of cards. Then off the card goes. When I do a swap, I always make at least 5 extra. One for my portfolio and the rest into my card stash to send out as RAK's, Birthday cards, etc. My portfolio right now is one of those cheap "magnetic albums" from Walgreens. When I fill that up, I will transfer it to an expandable "magnetic album". Once a card goes into the album, it doesn't come out except to be put into another album or to be moved to another page. I didn't use to keep any of my artwork, but now I like to because people are always asking to see samples of my work. My suggestion for those "one of a kind" cards, in case you don't have a scanner, is to take them to the copy shop (usually you can get 4 at a time on one sheet of paper), and have them color copied. Then you can cut them apart (between the cards) and put the copies in your portfolio. This way you can a copy of what you did for future ideas or to show people what you have made. (long) Jody MorrCats had let me know that she was sending my 1st Scavanger Hunt package, but due to problems, it would be late. Well it got here today and was it ever worth waiting for!!! I guess I should start with what I saw first....or maybe what I ate first Okay, chocolate wins! There was a large box (18-pcs) of Lindor Truffles....melt in your mouth, savor flavor delicious, yes it was and a Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Bar that I haven't opened yet. The first thing I saw is a *really* cute flour and salt dough angel that I'm going to go and hang up as soon as I finish describing this wonderful package. She has blue eyes and yellow hair with a rust colored hair band and a rust colored heart under her chin, and a blue dress with gold stripes...made in New Mexico. Next a card made on shiney gold cardstock, topped with black cardstock, topped again with holographic silver sparkle paper and finally on top, fancy cut black paper with the words "Your wish has been granted."stamped and ep'd in gold and a large mounted sparkly gold star on black cardstock in the upper left corner. The whole effect is "Wow". Inside are the words "May all your wishes come true" stamped and ep'd in gold on the white inside. Next an eggplant colored bookmark with pale mauve fancy cut cardstock layered on top stamped over and over with a bookworm wearing glasses and it's tied with a mauve tassle. So fun! Then a card on black cardstock that is hilarious! On red cardstock she has stamped that ugly 'morning' woman with bunny slippers and a coffee mug and under her the words "Housework makes you homely. Inside she has diagonally torn the picture and price of a vacuum cleaner, then included a "Sears" flyer, so I can recycle some of my own paper . Then another card, this one on pink cardstock, layered with red mulberry and pink and white paper patterned with tiny hearts. On this she has stamped in red "When friends meet, hearts warm" and two larger red hearts. Inside the card also stamped in red is the "Recipe for Friendship" Very nice. The teeny tiny mounted stamp is from Our Lady of Rubber and looks sort of petroglyphic or celtic knottish...I'll find lots of uses for it, I know. Then bags of green confetti, green buttons, green 'jewels', green moss, two green ribbons, green pipe cleaner. A white cut out silouette of an angel with a heart in it's hand. 8 Party picks - and you should see these, they have wonderful sparkly mutlicolored tassels on the end of each..they're just wild and I love them and I need more! (Must be the magpie in me). A white square of carstock that has precut puzzle sections so I can stamp on it and then break it up for someone else to put together. A most interesting card on bright orange cardstock where the front is a lovely shade of green covered with orange leaves, and a center rectangle of orange cardstock, topped again with fancy cut cardstock that has been sponged? with green and a dark green leaf stamped in the center, and I was wondering how on earth she had done the entire front with the green, when I discovered she had included instructions! Yes! Jacob's Coat or Neon Embossing. Thank you for those instructions! A gold heart shaped charm, and multi-colored sparkly confetti. A heart cut out of floral patterned wallpaper...no I'm not finished! Two large pieces of heavy fibre paper, one in dark brown and one in a wine color...did you make these? Do you know how hard it is to find really interesting brown paper?? This is so great! Beautiful black mulberry? paper with large splotches of shiney gold. Purple and pink floral patterned tissue paper. We're getting close to the bottom now...Three sheets of acid free paper - one with the "ouch" bandaids, one with beautifully colored autumn leaves and one of a road map. Last, but certainly not least, glossy cardstock stamped all over in black and ep'd so they'll be really easy to color, all sorts of flowers, leaves, butterflies, fish, giant bee, cat with butterfly on its nose, just to mention a few . I may have had to wait longer than most for my parcel, but I feel like I got two put together...and I love absolutely everything in it! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jody, for an absoutely fabulous package! I had so much fun digging into my package!! (can you tell?) I received my scavenged items from Ellie Cassatt. You did a fantastic job picking things out. Thank you so much from the bottom of my Almond Joy heart! I love those candy bars and that's what was scattered in the package! (Please e-mail me) 1. 6 sheets(full size 8 1/2 X 11)assorted fall colored card stock - -----gorgeous colors-brown, yellow, orange, gray/green!! 2. 1- 8 1/2 X 11 sheet glossy card stock stamped full of your favorite fall image(s) leaving enough space so receiver can color and cut out and use on cards she makes - -----Pumpkins, Jack-O-Lanterns, Leaves--can't wait to color these in and use them! 3. Make a card for fall using the layering technique and your favorite fall themed stamp(S) - -----Starting with yellow card stock, she layered beautiful brown mulberry paper and the pumpkin that she stamped. Really gives me an idea about how the pumpkin will look colored in. She also put gold confetti leaves in the corners. The mulberry paper is so soft and thick! Of course when I pulled it out of the envelope metallic leaf confetti scattered. Love it! Wow!! what a card. 4. 12 fall themed stickers - -----2 sheets of Thanksgiving stickers (love the raccoon trying to get the cherry pie) and 12 Jack-O-Lantern stickers 5. Halloween candy treat - -----Not only the Almond Joy throughout the box, but a bag of various candy. Jerry was with me and stole the tootsie rolls, and the smarties. I still have the blo-pops and butterfinger and bubble gum :-) 6. something sparkly to use to trim cards(could be glitter, sparkly ribbon, metallic trims, etc.) - -----metallic leaves confetti!!! I'm a confetti fiend. and Halloween confetti! 7. a copy of your favorite fall recipe. - -----a recipe for Apple Crisp I'm going to bake this on the weekend! 8. a 1/2 ounce jar of a fall colored embossing powder - -----1 full ounce jar Dark Copper EP!!! I have a copper EP but it looks like gold compared to this. And there's a small heart embossed on the top so I can see what it looks like! I love that idea! 9. a fall themed stamp valued at between $6-$8 - -----Embossing Arts Harvest Frame!! All kinds of gourds and leaves around a frame. This is going to become a favorite envy stamp really quick! 10. 1 large sheet special printed tissue paper - ----- There are 2 special sheets of paper. the first one I saw is orange with Halloween images ALL over it. The second one is a handmade paper(I think) I've never seen handmade paper. this has strands and pine all throughout. This is a definite WOW. Jerry wants to make paper and if this is it-watch out! It even smells like pine! 11. a card, made by you using a special technique(shaker, slider, magic, hidden message, etc) and please include instructions on how you did it. - -----She made a "Simple Explosion Unit" Card. Not only that! she included the instructions of all kinds of pop-up cards that she got off the web(I think) Ellie took a white glossy card and brayered purple and blues across the front and then stuck on a little girl holding a flower pot and watering can. When it is opened a big square pops out and in the middle it says "Smile" and all 4 corners are stamped. Another WOW! what a card!!!! Not only that but she also included instructions for a shaker card! 12. a magnet, made by you, using RS OR computer printer - -----She made a magnet! It is brayered with blues and purples and there are 2 hearts stamped on it with the phrase, "i wuv u" This is so cute! and it has been cutout with decorative scissors. Very pretty! 13. a sunflower item. Don't care what it is--silk flower, stamp, whatever - -----2 silk sunflowers. One is large and one is small and a brown/copper ribbon flower. 14. package of specialty coffee, tea or hot cocoa (1 cup size) to warm you up on those cool fall evenings - -----a coffee pot size of Chocolate Almond Coffee and throughout the box was spiced cider, lemon stash tea, camomile stash tea, and bigalow orange spice tea. All of these I have had and I love tea!! 15. 2 yards of fall themed ribbon (paper or fabric, wired or not) - -----I'd say about 3 yards! This ribbon is wired fabric and it has leaves and flowers and cornucopias all over. It is a beautiful ribbon! Now from the first list of the hunt there are 3 fall colored leaf shaped soaps. They made the whole package smell wonderful!!! Red gold and green. Ellie packed everything with crinkled black paper. And she even put confetti balloons in it too. Now I have to gather all the crinkle paper and pack my fall Scavenger hunt box with it! I love to recycle. I am going to keep some of it for cards though I can't thank you enough Ellie for taking the time to put together a fantastic package. I love your little note too. I hope you will e-mail me so we can get better acquainted! You are a doll baby!!!!!!!!!!! StamperCat>^,,^< Ask about the Evolving Images Swap ******************** I know about right and left brained.
