A few that I received were already described... Thanks Glenyce & Carol Mork & Janice Cowell too!! Loved them! Here are the others I don't think you've heard about yet: ~~MaVinci (Robin): Apollinaire: "Come to the edge he said - Come to the edge he said - They said we are afraid - Come to the edge he said - They came He pushed them & they flew" She must have done this with a set of alphabet stamps... a roman-esque typeface... and kind of randomly placed on textured ivory cardstock. Also random letters.. the "O's" and a few others are colored in ... you really have to study it when you read it. And when it sinks in, the message and effect is really wonderful! Thanks Robin! ~~Karen Llewellyn: Pooh: "We'll be best friend until forever. Wait and see." A very simple and adorable card...you can't go wrong with Pooh!! I think she hand colored onto her stamps, Pooh Bear is brown and Piglet is pink and all the words are in different colors! Thanks Karen! ~~Holly Mabutas: "Invisible cows currently control my life." This is too funny. Holly does wonderful scenes... such an artist!! There's a lady lying down on the grass -- a crazed chicken and a running pig and a yield sign... amongst all this is an invisible cow (stamped PERFECTLY to look sheer) kind of floating above it all!! There are even little shadows on the ground under the cow''s hoofs! Great perspective... I love Holly's work - glad to "own" another one! ~~Pat (Rubrobcsed@aol.com): "If God had intended me to EXERCISE, He would have sprinkled DIAMONDS on the ground." Amen!! A 19th Century-type woman (long skirted/gibson-girl look) with a golf club over her shoulder on top of a layered card onto which Pat put little crystal beads and glitter across the bottom... yup! Those are the diamonds!! There's a little pink bow to "tie" it together.... really cute card! I can think of a few folks who'd appreciate this one!! Thanks Pat! And thanks Mandy for hosting this all the way from England!!! Hope I sent enough postage??!?!! And I loved the USA Heart you embossed onto your mailing envie! Thanks for hosting Stargazser! Large stamp of the state of Minnesota from Sharon the Mouse Potato, clever. Kewl sunflower magnet from Sherri---this surely couldn't be your first attempt, it is great! Sherri used the sunflower from Art Gone Wild, and use liquid applique on the petals and added real sunflower seed to the middle----so kewl! Small shaker magnet with coffee beans in the middle and coffee frame around the edges from Stampin Andi. Great magnet, makes me want a cup of hot java! Bonnie Gard made a santa out of shrink plastic, I not sure of the technique but there are beads used in the scarf. Bonnie please share how you made this great magnet. Bonnie spent alot of time on this one! Lisa Mallette used a mermaid from Eugenia's Ecclectibles. Beautifully colored . Tami Butler used a ME saying "Count your blessings" for a cute little magnet. ME is one of my favorites! Darlene Ave-Lallemant stamped a small pot of flowers on the left and used the saying "The ornaments of a home are the friends who frequent it". Darlene used special edged sissors around the edges and tipped the edges in gold. Great magnet! Eva made a postoid stamp that says it is the year of the stamp. I second that motion! A cool kitty with sunglasses was made by Nancy Lynn (Rubbermick). Too kewl for words! Michele the Monarch Stamper made a beautiful stained glass magnet with butterflies. Great look! Small red rose bud from Ululani Pomroy. So pretty. Tiny flower from Teresa O'Brien Durn. Petite and pretty. Pat Vidal used shrink plastic and stamped a sea image on it. She then layered it on corregated green paper and then also layered it on some green tissue paper. Great magnet! Barbara Simpson used a House Mouse image of two mice hanging on to a dragonfly. Very clever and cute. Just love these images from Stampa Rosa. Linda Israel stamped a cute little girl on cardstock and colored it to perfection. She then layer it on two pieces of cardstock. Great magnet and cool background paper. Small patchwork heart was made by Dawn Miller. Great embossing job! Shell Drebek made an oval magnet with Winnie the Pooh and he is trying to "think, think, think". Pooh is color to perfection and trying really hard to think!! Clever! Large fairy stamped by Rubber Tales on light blue card stock. Who makes this stamp. I just love fairies!! This is beautifully done. Jana' DeMore made a cute little magnet that says "Of all the things I've lost...I miss my mind the most!" So cute and the saying is so true---sorry to say! Stargazser made a great frame magnet. I can't wait to put a picture in it. Great idea, I'm going to have to borrow (steal ) this one! Thanks for all the great magnets, I'm now going to hang them on my refrigerator. Sorry the descriptions don't do justice. This was alot of fun to do and receive. These are called File Jackets, by the way--and Arvey's (if you have one handy) has them on sale until the 25th. I have my small (not parent sheet size) in legal file pockets, loosely assorted by color and filed in a box. I don't have the loose leaf notebook, though, but that is a good idea. I also have the tiniest pieces--6" or smaller--in some drawers right where I work. Parent sheets are harder--mine are mostly stored in portfolios I made from empty illo board boxes I got from the local art store. Rolls are in plastic containers under the bed. If you are never gonna use the big sizes of paper, you can cut everything into the largest size you will be using--maybe 8 1/2 by 14 (legal size) and stuff 'em into the File Jackets. My major paper, that I use for the card itself, is stored in letterhead boxes, with a sample taped to the edge of the cover. These I am gonna make a looseleaf file of, though, so I know what I have--I saw Daybreak's storage, and that's what she has done--and number the boxes and the sheets in the file. MUCH easier to find, especially when the boxes are stacked. And of course I never have the paper I want....never. It's a given.
