I have no choice but to remove the only xroads user on the list. I suspect she won't be happy about that, but procedure of yours sending threats to a mailing list can't be tolerated. It is upsetting too many people. Valobra, speak to your ISP about this, you're listed in their headers, so it's related to you somehow. I hope you can get it cleared up and can come back. Ruth Soldavini embossed and colored a gnarled, old witch on white paper, then trimmed around it, layered over orange, trimmed again around that, and then layered it onto the black cardstock. Then to the witch's left there's an embossed bat layered on orange, then black. Also--the bat has little googly eyes glued on--too fun! Inside it says "brighten up a witch's day--kiss her on the lips!" Nanstamps has a nude witch (with a really cool cape--it's black with gold stars and kind of raised. How did you do this?) flying on a broom over a forest. She's reaching for a star and there's a crescent moon in the background. Then beneath the witch, she wrote "Follow your star". Anyway, this is on an orange bookmark with a blue and gold star ribbon instead of a tassel. Very cool. Donna Joy stamped a witch (reading a spell book while a spider dangles from one hand) on tan cardstock and colored this in. She added a shadow for the witch and spiderwebs in the top corners. Trimmed this with scissors so it's got kind of a rufflely edge, then mounted it on a large black card. Also she used a little thread or something for the thread the spider is dangling from. Spooky! Okay, I can't find a signature on this card, but whoever did it, tell me who you are--this card's a riot! Omn the front in black and white is a nun sinking into a cloudy puddle with the caption "I'm melting..." On the back it says "Sister Mary Agness suddenly realized why the students insisted that she play the wicked witch in St. Alphonse School's production of "The Wizard of Oz". This totally cracked me up. The artist also stamped at the bottom...don't worry someone is praying for my soul. (Or is this handwritten? If it's a stamp, I need one!) If you love Rubbermoon's stuff, you'd swoon over Amoo's card. It's a giant Rubbermoon image of a pumpkin headed woman with maks and a blackk cat on her shoulder, checkered border. Anyway, it's vividly and gorgeously colored and the card is actually a piece of foam-core (or something like it.) The card is about....5 by 10 inches. Just stunning! Many thanks to Nan for another wonderful swap--she's one of the best hostesses out there! Group: I originally sent this out at 2:43 p.m. today -- it's now 10:23 and I have not yet seen it posted, so I am re-sending. Sorry if you end up getting it twice! (This has really gotten ridiculous!) ........... Today I received four UMs I'd ordered from Imprints -- and I sent my order w/check only six days ago, what service!! Their rubber is *very* deeply etched. I got two primitive motifs (a cat and a quail) and two sayings: (1) Joy To Your World, and (2) "Beauty is before me. Beauty is behind me. Beauty is below me. Beauty is above me. I walk in beauty. - Navajo Prayer". Isn't that *beautiful*!?! ... Their catty is very small (12 pages of images) but definitely worth getting -- for primitive motifs and sayings/quotes. I don't remember the cost of the catty but I *think* I got their phone # from Baggie so please check with her. "Imprints" addy is PO Box 938, Foresthill, CA 95631. Also rec'd my pkg of Autumn Magic Leaves from Sue Beck (Wacky Wagon). Yowsa! This is some superb stuff for embellishing! It's rather costly but, IMO, well worth it to add some pizazz to cards. And I can tell this is gonna go a long way! (Thanx for the packet of SweetTarts, Sue -- one of my very favorite candies!!) I plan to use my Aleene's Foiling Glue to adhere the metal foil leaves. Amazing product! When I crumpled it up, it reminded me of those "glow worms" you light on 4th of July -- after they're cooled and you touch them, they just kinda almost dissolve in your fingers, having no "texture" to them. Kewl! Anyway, I crumpled these leaves and put them in one of my famous containers from Phil Schloss..... Speaking of Phil ;^) ... I rec'd my bone folder today (and thanx for the catty, Phil). I *AM* impressed! Yup, Yup! It works *much* better than the dry-embossing stylus I was using, also better than using the "back side" of a seam ripper. This is the greatest, Phil ... and soooo glad to have this!! So effortless, so smooth, so user friendly. I recommend *every* stamper has one of these!!! So now, I refuse to wipe the smile off my face, am just very glad my week has begun with such pleasantries.... Have a Great Week, y'all!!! Purrrr...... Cox" Subject: RS: TAN Brownies All this talk about what to do for Christmas and "jar cookies" got me to missing a recipe that I lost years ago. Maybe one of you nice people has it. I got it at a Tupperware party but I don't know if it's a Tupperware recipe or just the distributor's recipe. Anyway, I remember that you mix all the dry ingredients ahead of time and store them in a Tupperware container (no other brand will work, of course). On baking day you just add and egg and something wet (can't remember, water?), mix and bake. Does anyone have this recipe? It would be wonderful to have this "Oh, man, guests are on the way and I have nothing to serve" recipe again. If you have it, please email it to me directly as the list is acting weird and I'm not seeing a lot of posts. Cheers!!! Christine This message was from "Christine L. What cool cards! And it looks like we all had a fun Summer. Melinda - A large blue card with Paris stamps on it. It is layered with gold and gold embossed. Did you really go to Paris? Neat card. Lori C - On brown cs she stamped a window and then cut out the windows. Inside you can see a woman madly stamping. Looks like all of us :> Alisha - A cute stamped bear who is fishing and has cayght himself. This is so cute. And I love fishing too! Cecilia - On white cs with a layer of brown corrugated paper, a layer of blue, then a stamped image of a girl at the beach. The sand is made from beedz. Neat touch. Karen - A postcard with a sandcastle and clouds. The ep you used really looks like sand. And I liked the shells tucked in the sand. It will NOT go out until Thanksgiving Weekend. If you are already on the list or have already sent a form in, DO NOT SEND A FORM IN AGAIN! You only need to fill the form out if you have changes to your existing information. If you are new and either just sent it in or are in the process of sending it in, you will receive a copy of the existing one. So don't look for your name, it won't be there! But I assure you it will be on the one that will come out at Thanksgiving. I am also going to be sending out in the next day or two a cross reference list (based on the snail mail information that I have) of names and e-mails. I will post this to the list, because this is not private information. Again, this is not the entire Rubberstampers List, it is only the information that I have in the Snail Mail Database. If you have crashed your system and need this sent to you again, please put SNAIL MAIL REQUEST in the subject line. Thank you for your assistance and your patience with this project, so far I have 57 adds and changes in my folder to process.
