For someone who's never been RAK'd before, today I hit the jackpot! From Diana White, I received a beautiful, LARGE card of very colorful fish, who appear to be whispering to each other. They are layered on heavy white cardstock that has gold embossed sand and shells, and the fish are woven into the sea grass. The caption says "This is how rumors get started". This masterpiece is embossed in gold around the edges and glued on to dark green cardstock. Just beautiful. From Jaimee I received a pretty pink card, sprinkled with purple, fuschia an turquoise stars. At the fold of the card there is a dark blue piece of cardstock that has three larger stars that have smaller stars in them (I'm doing a rotten job explaining this one!) This is going right into my collection of celestial things. I also received a Halloween card from Carole Mark. It has a quilted front with colorful embossed Halloween images on the front, they look as if they might glow in the dark. Inside this card was a collection of loose stamped images that I'll be using in future cards! Thanks everyone! Now I know why everyone loves clear envys, too. I tear the rubber die off the foam mounts and trim it close to the image. Them you place the rubber die on the sticky side of the loop tape (velcro). Then cut the die with the velcro attached. The acrylic blocks have the other side of velcro on--the hook side. SO you place the velcro die on on the loop on the mount--and stamp! Clean the die--and then just RIP IT OFF. I store mine on page protectors that have another piece of hook tape on them. I love them. Since I have gotten my set last spring--lost of my friends and stampers have gotten sets too. Sheryl Porter on this list is the creator and vendor. She also sells KAI scissors--they make trimming the rubber and velcro really easy. I rub embossing fluid on the blades so the sticky adhesive on the loop tape don;t get stuck. I'm not great at explaining but if you have any questions, just e-mail me back - Here goes: Cookie Cutter Ornament Materials needed: **Christmas tree shaped metal cookie cutter (approx 3" tall) holiday ribbon spanish moss small red or white berries and twigs raffia jute glue gun Take the jute and tie it around the top of the cookie cutter to form a loop to attach the ornament to your tree. Glue into place so that it won't move around. Cut the holiday ribbon to fit the width of the outside edge of the cookie cutter and glue in place all around the outside shape of the cookie cutter. Place glue on the inside edges of the cookie cutter and take the spanish moss and completely fill the cookie cutter. Glue the berries and twigs onto the moss to look like oraments. Tie the raffia into a bow and glue it onto the top part of the tree, facing front. **I've also used a star and angel cookie cutter and they come out Great too, but I like the Christmas Tree the best :) I hope that these directions are OK and that you have Fun making them! I received 2 things I've been waiting for: 1.My cs & vellum from PaperPalet and 2. my yarn order of camouflaged yarn which I am making an afghan for my son to give his friend. I received 2 more cheerful items: 1.From Sandy Hampson a delightful CCCC card. It's almost a " Pop-up" but there was this little gift bag made out of cat wrapping paper ( I have some just like that) that stood up when you opened the card. The front cover is 3 'Lady" cats over a sign "Shop til you drop". Very cute. I know we don't have to describe the CCCC cards but this was too good not to share. 2. I received my "Christmas Angel" swap cards. (I'll describe them later). I got all this when I got home from running errands and was Not feeling good. My last errand was to go to the post office and mail my ss their Oct. pkg. I tripped on the edge of the step (concrete) going into the P.O. Went down on my left knee, elbow and the corner of the box hit me in the face below my left eye near my nose. My glasses went flying and it hurt real bad besides being very embarrassing. One gentle man asked if I was OK (which I wasn't) and a young woman helped me into the PO and carried my pkg. My nose was bleeding and I just wanted to cry but held it back. I came home and put ice on face , elbow and knee. My arthritis have been real bad this week and I see my Rheumatologist on thursday. We had talked about going for some physical therapy to get me though the 'change in season' flare up, and I was going to tell her 'yes' I need it now since my pain meds aren't controlling the pain any now. Well , after today , I will definitely need it! Praise God, it could have been worse. I could have broken my wrist and not been able to TYPE! then what would I do about email????? Or stamping??? This afternoon I just sat and started to crochet and gave myself the night OFF! I got hoagies for the kids and can leave the chores until another day. I could use some prayers. I've had surgery on my Right knee and left shoulder and the bursitis is bad now too. I don't have too many more joints to work on surgically speaking. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Susan. I was sent a lovely card, yep all the way to Australia - I always feel so privileged when I receive a card from a far off land. My card is black, with the corners rounded and a heart corner punch has been used. Then layered on that is a pretty shade of pink/rose coloured cardstock, a saying stamped in the middle, which is: A friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart This is such a nice idea. Thanks for this card Coffeestamper, I will have great joy, showing my friends here in Oz, what a great card you have made.
