I was leaving work to pick up my daughter at the babysitter. I kinda sorta had to go, but figured I was running late and could wait til I got home. Well, on the way home, so idiot ran and stop sign and creamed my car. It was 25 minutes before the ambulance got there (I was injured) and then they had to strap me to a board, and then a 10 minute ride, then I had to wait for x-rays and THEN I had to wait until the x-rays came back. I had to go so bad, but I was wearing a new jumpsuit and being strapped to the board, they said the only thing they could do was cut it off!!! No way. I tell you, when they took me off the board, injured or not I beelined it to the bathroom. This is what they mean when they say "I had to go so bad my eyeballs were floating!". Now PPB4UGO is my credo. Even if I'm just going around the block. Because, you never know!!! There are several different recipes of cake batters, and you put the batter in pint jars (wide mouth only) and then bake them, putting sealing lids on immediately after baking. If you put enough of the batter in, it fills the jar completely. Then you can make some cloth toppers for the lids, or do some cross stitch toppers or something. The cake is supposed to stay completely fresh in the jars for up to six months. There were recipes for apple cake, brownies, pina colada cake, and many others. If you're interested, I could type up some of the info for you (I lost the file in my puter crash, but luckily had printed it out). The biggest expense is the jars, but alot of times you can get them at yard sales. I'm also thinking of selling some of these at my bazaars, too. I always do handmade (or hand baked) gifts for my family - they seem to appreciate it the most. Last year I made fireweed honey for everyone, the year before I made up handmade chocolates, another year I make ceramic nativity scenes for each family, and one year I made homemade pine wreaths for everyone - even the ones who lived a few hundred miles away - just shipped them priority!! Hope this gives you some ideas.
