I forgot about the time change last night. DH had a 9:00 shoot and showed up at 8:00. Almost came home thinking it was called off and no one told him, but he hung around and the others showed up. I got up to find a message from my PC on screen telling me that it had taken account of the change from Daylight Savings Time and reset my clock. Would I please make sure it was correct. I couldn't believe it. I didn't know it could do that. Every time in the past, I always had to reset the clock. Anyway, it's a good thing it did, and told me about it, 'cause I would not have remembered at all. I don't turn the TV on when DH isn't at home, and wouldn't have learned at all until he came home around lunch time. As it is, I didn't mention it to him right away, and he didn't say anything either. I think he was testing me. So, I changed all the clocks. Way too many clocks. Thanx to my PC. I am famous for discovering things WAY after everyone else has...and the blender pen is no exception. I watched the threads about them and added them to my "to try" list... which is pretty long and STILL unfinished...but then, that's what RS is all about! WELL! I finally pulled out the blender pen one of my suppliers talked me into buying and I love it! I have both the regular one and the re-fillable one (see? I'm a friggin' vendor and I don't even know what this product is - -- shall I call it a "thingie" to add insult to injury?). I used to paint with watercolors quite a bit... I love watercolors. And this blender pen gives such a soft and blended watercolor effect. I used a ziplock baggie that was "hangin' around" my desk and I scribbled on it with my LePlumes (the marker I prefer -- this month!). Then I dipped my blender pen in and went to work! So... if any of you out there are like me and haven't caught on to this neat little pen, you have to try it. And if you want me to sell you one... well, you better remind me what they're called and I'll go order a case or two! Guess I better stick with the refillables at this rate! I just got new checks week ago.. what an exercise in frustration that was.. I had these checks I really was fond of.. they were the scared guy ones from current.. went through 800 of 'em, went to re-order, they were discontinued. Now.. if I wasn't a procastinatin' kind of gal that wouldn't have been such a problem.. but I just knew all I hadda do was pick up the phone and say send me another 800 of the same thing please and was a done deal, so I put it off.. so when I called and said send me another 800 of the same thing and they said sorry, that's been discontinued, I hadda say oh.. horrors.. well then.. nevermind.. I gotta fall back and regroup here (and I had NO time for such foolishness, I was down to 20 checks..). SO.. I went on a quest for new checks that suited ME, but that my husband would be willing to sign his name to at lowes. oy.. always a trial, that... the scared guy was perfect.. I got all sorts of pleasure outta that YIKES.. I found the most perfect checks somewhere on the web.. rosencrantz and gilderstein's check company or something like that.. was that silent scream thing? wonderful checks! I loved 'em! they wanted 18.95 for 200. oy. anyway, this took so long I had no choice but stick with current cuz I had to have checks last week by that point.. so I wound up with batman (and superman and wonderwoman and someone else.. the flash? maybe..). but I only got 400, cuz they don't really suit me but 200 wouldn't last long enough to be worth the trouble.. and am still on a quest for the perfect batch.. house mouse is too cute.. ted would never go for that.. anno This message was from "anno" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. Age 44 I've learned that if you want to cheer yourself up, you should try cheering someone else up. Age 13 I've learned that when I wave to people in the country, they stop what they are doing and wave back. Age 9 I've learned that although it's hard to admit it, I'm secretly glad my parents are strict. with me. Age 15 I've learned that you can tell a lot about a man by the way he handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. Age 52 I've learned that whenever I decide something with kindness, I usually make the right decision. Age 66 I've learned that if you want to do something positive for your children, try to improve your marriage. Age 61 I've learned that making a living is not the same thing as making a life. Age 58 I've learned that everyone can use a prayer. Age 72 I've learned that I like my teacher because she cries when we sing "Silent Night". Age 7 I've learned that there are people who love you dearly but just don't know how to show it. Age 41 I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love that human touch--holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back. Age 85 I've learned that I still have a lot to learn. Age 92 Please pass this on to someone you care about. Sometimes they just need a little something to make them smile... Hey anno! How about the Peanuts Gang checks? I got mine from my bank's check company. I also had The Jetsons at one point, but Peanuts have 6 different scenes compared to The Jetsons' 4. I like a little variety. :) They're more expensive than Current, but what the hey. You can even get a leather checkbook cover with Charlie Brown on the cover. Oooh! A reward was offered and an enterprising Texas Ranger finally captured him in his favorite saloon. He put his gun to the bandit's head and said, "Tell me where you hid the loot or I'll blow your head off!" However, the bandit didn't speak English and the Ranger didn't speak Spanish, but there was a bilingual lawyer present who translated the Ranger's message. The terrified bandit blurted out that the loot was buried under the oak tree in back of the saloon. "What did he say?" asked the Ranger. "He said: "Get lost jerk. You don't have the guts to shoot me.'" This message was from WendyKan@aol.com - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. As luck would have it, a few weeks later the young man died in a car wreck. True to her word, his sweetheart tried to contact him in the spirit world exactly 30 days later. At a seance, she called out, "John, dear John; this is Martha. Do you hear me, John?" A ghostly voice answered her, "Yes, Martha, this is John; I can hear you." Martha tearfully asked, "Oh, John, what's it like where you are?" "It's beautiful. There are azure skies, a soft breeze, sunshine most of the time." "What do you do all day?" "Well, Martha, we are up before sunrise, eat some good breakfast, then it's nothing but sex until noon. After lunch, we nap until two and then we have sex again until five. After dinner, we go at it again until we fall asleep around 11 p.m." Martha was somewhat taken aback. "Is that what Heaven really is like?" "Heaven? I'm not in Heaven, Martha." "Then, where are you?" "I'm a jack rabbit in Arizona!" This message was from WendyKan@aol.com - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
