I have stopped buying cat's eye now. I feel the Petals last as long as as a cat's eye would. I removed them a lot and if I'm going to be using the same one quite a bit over and over I rest it in the lid of the Petal Point. If you get one than one they will stack nicely for storage. I haven't had any trouble with colors mixing and I am not 'kind' to my rainbow pads. I often pick up a petal and tap it directly on my paper for a background. I really like these pads and I hope Clearsnap makes more of them. The "big" sale runs all weekend starting tommorrow. The coupons that are in last Sunday's paper will have expired by tommorrow. To get a whole page of coupons for the weekend sale, you need to pick it up at Michaels. I would suggest you pick them up today (Friday) if possible to use on the weekend. If this is not possible, then I recommend as early as possible on Saturday morning. I was told that there is a 50% off coupon on the page for anything that they normally allow the coupon to be used for in the store. There are also coupons at 30% off your entire purchase to be used at the times stated on the coupons. In addition, On Saturday, the sale of 25% off on stamps will still be in effect from last Sunday's ad. Hope all this helps. Call you local Michael's store to see if they have plenty of the coupon hand outs before you go. Got home from work and at the front door was a big oatmeal box. Inside was my fab Rubber Chicken T-shirt -- a must for all rubber stampers. Soooooooooo cute and it's going to get lots of comments I can already tell. I love it. When Gary saw the oatmeal box on the table he asked if it came in the mail. I showed him my new shirt and he said *I guess we can have the imaginary oatmeal along with our imaginary poptarts for breakfast.* In case anyone didn't see an earliler post from me, a few months ago Betsy sent me a stamp order in a poptart box. Not knowing it was stamps, Gary stuck it in the pantry. Thanks Betsy for a great shirt and the extra goodies too. :-) SeashlStamper ------------------------------ From: jmorrison@nm-us.campus.mci.net Date: Fri, 21 Feb 1997 18:26:46 +0100 Subject: TAN: coming out Baggies powerful account of her experiences prompts me to throw my .02 in here. And connect with another tan. So often, bad things seem to happen to good people and we are left feeling powerless and helpless and saddened (and perhaps secretly relieved that it wasn't US this time). When these things occur, they simply just don't make any sense. I'd like to sugget that there is a "different" kind of sense going on. Baggie said, >and I don't feel bad as I thought I would,, I just know >life will go on and the true wealth we have is in ourselves and the >people closest to us. The learnings we learn about self clarity and self strength and the sense of wonder at what we are capable of surviving (and even surviving gracefully, pun intended) is really awesome. No painful happening comes without corresponding growth, joy, learning, love. The difficulty here is in being open to those things in the midst of the pain, and in accepting that we are not "being punished" by an angry God, but rather being given an opportunity to stretch and grow in ways we would never before have believed possible. Recently, we've seen numerous posts on this list that prayer works and even some discussion of what that means. Most of us come to some spiritual awareness, regardless of the form it takes, that gives meaning and form to our lives. Part of that meaning is the recognition of what we can survive and how we can grow and the sharing of love and support on this list goes a long way toward helping all of us learn and relearn these lessons. We are a pretty amazing group...warts, passions, flames, depression, sickness, fear, love, support, nurturance, help, and all..... As Tiny Tim said (no, not the singer...) God bless us, every one.
